  1. Yeah, there will be subtraction of the current position players with Hoskins and Ortiz coming back. The discussion is who will that be.
  2. Don't really like Monasterio at SS but there are a number of plays by him that stick with me. The one from last night is one but also in that home series against the Dodgers had a great play at 3B where he fielded a ground ball and immediately went home to get Ohtani. The game against the Nationals when he was pinch running and Jake Bauers hit a ball to the left side but Monasterio was able to still get to third and eventually scored the walk off run and of course that home run in Cincinatti. He is a role player but has had quite a positive impact on this team.
  3. Kind of interesting that the Athletics will play most of their games in Sacramento in 2026 but the Brewers series will be in Vegas. Think I will head out to that series.
  4. Shelby Miller was a nice acquisition. Stats have not been great with the Brewers but a good piece to have at the end of the year and into the playoffs. Didn't necessarily need him when the Brewers acquired him but need him now
  5. Pfaadt had a horrible game last September at AmFam, hopefully more of the same today. Could use a game where the Brewers blow out the other team. Easton McGee three inning save would be great.
  6. He's not a left handed hitter so not a replacement for Seigler. If he could play SS better than Monasterio sure but that doesn't appear to be the case. Hoskins and Chourio coming back soon as well so the position player group is getting more tight.
  7. Gasser would be at full 5 days rest so would make sense to start Saturday. Unfortunately has topped out at 64 pitches thus far so would be a short start. Tobias isn't stretched out anymore but still could eat 2-3 innings though if he doesn't pitch a bunch later this week. Shouldn't be difficult keeping Gasser on the roster either with the additional spot Monday.
  8. I hope the Brewers go against the Padres and face Cortes in the playoffs.
  9. I would guess Patrick gets the start and Rodriguez sent down. Gasser might get a start end of year after everything is clinched
  10. Not real confident in Monasterio defensively at SS but that is what they have and Turang isn't moving there. If Zamora can't get called up now don't think he has a future in Milwaukee.
  11. $30 a month is ridiculous for a streaming service. I subscribe annually to Peacock as it is reasonably priced, has decent programming and includes the PLE's but I can cut out WWE at that price.
  12. Freddy has been the most consistent starter and has made every start. With his 5-6 innings starts he is perfect for the playoffs. Can rely on Peralta more than anybody on this team, including Woodruff.
  13. Probably not enought to go around and have to always bring in new talent to replace the ones that retire. However, during the playoffs I am all for having the best umps from the regular season call balls and strikes. I don't really like rotating, have the best behind the plate. Just because you ump a game at third during the playoffs doesn't mean they have to call a game behind the plate.
  14. No reason to risk going to third down by 2.
  15. Every time I think Vaughn is going to start reverting to his old self he produces a big hit. That 2 out, 3 run HR was enormous last night.
  16. Disappointing to see that Black has been pretty brutal since being optioned back to the minors. Murphy is really going to have to work his magic with Black and/or Berroa getting a bunch of playing time this weekend.
  17. I don't think Miz can go off the IL until tomorrow since he was placed as of July 31. I can't recall a guy on the IL being listed as a starter.
  18. Not a huge fan of Seigler but take him every time over being stuck with Ryan McMahon.
  19. When Spencer Stider was 20-5 a couple of years ago he didn't get any first place votes and didn't really deserve any. He did finish 4th when he probably should have been even further down but think the 20 wins stood out. So I'll go with Peralta finishing 4th if he gets to 20 wins.
  20. It's been a long time for me as well, none here in Madison. Brings back nostalgic memories to 1987 when I was a kid waiting to get a burger with my Grandpa.
