  1. Are you talking about Gasser? You think he is almost 30yrs old?
  2. Re: Strzelecki ... that felt procedural to me? Even after the game when Murphy was talking about the plan for the night he mentioned Patrick/Anderson/Hall/Uribe (but didn't need anyone after Patrick) so Peter wasn't in the plans seemingly. I have a hunch this was the Brewers way of throwing him a bone and exposing him to waivers to let him see if he has MLB interest anywhere else? They just did a similar-ish thing with Waguespack earlier this month. He exercised an out clause, didn't find any takers, then re-signed with us back to the minors. I'm hypothesizing but if there is any merit to it I think it's a tip of the cap move by Milwaukee.
  3. I agree with you. I always find it funny when folks lose their minds without information. We don't know the convos behind the scenes but we always act like we do.
  4. A couple posters here are not going to be happy that Yeli is available...
  5. Vaughn is 5-23 against Ober with 2HR in his career. Yelich is 3-6. No one else has more than 3 career at bats against him Assuming we get the Mitchell, Hamilton, Bauers trio today. Sanchez caught yesterday so probably a Vaughn DH day with Bill behind the plate. Betting odds that Chourio swings at the first pitch of the game is -220 in my book.
  6. When we find a great cut of steak at the butcher shop we bring that sucker back and season it up real nice before throwing it on the grill and THEN once it is on the grill we don't take that thing off until it is cooked perfectly. If we need to drum up some wings to snack on while we wait for the steak that's fine ... everyone likes an appetizer. But don't you dare mess up my steak until it is ready. If you try to serve it to me undercooked and ruin a great steak for good I will flip your grill over and I will be loud about it on my way out. Call up Jett. He will be just fine until Pratt is ready.
  7. 2026 Major League Baseball Playoff Odds | Baseball-Reference.com Coming into today (Saturday) Baseball Reference had the Brewers with a 25.9% chance to win the NL Pennant and a 15.8% to win the World Series. Both best in the NL. Only the Yankees have better odds in both.
  8. Wild that this has a lot of merit. Murphy, for better or for worse, plays his whole roster and trusts them all, often when he shouldn't. Unless Mitchell wasn't available it is hard to see why Bauers didn't hit there in the 9th for Perk. It's partially Arnold's fault for bringing him back up ... but he almost needs to trade Perkins away just so both he and Murphy no longer have his name available ha.
  9. Eddys Leonard up to .336/1.016 now with 7HR. Left handed starters continue to mow us down.
  10. I imagine Pete just got a big league salary for a day and will be gone? Bullpen just got a full reset.
  11. Cubs getting rocked... Nice little Saturday night.
  12. Well, it doesn't matter how you win them early in this season as long as you win them. You just need to figure out "how" to win by the end of the year..
  13. "Don't want to weaken your defense" Rock says. You have Mitchell. Pinch hit Bauers and insert play Mitchell in the field. Perkins probably should not have hit there.
  14. Man.. Patrick and Drohan out of the pen have changed things. If we can figure out the closing situation the bullpen is solid solid.
  15. I wonder how close that play at the plate is if he tags appropriately...
  16. Alastre in to pitch. We are out of pitchers and it is the 7th. Alastre pitched Thursday when I was there. South Bend might score 30.
  17. First 5 games against South Bend: 10-1 L 11-6 W 25-6 L 9-0 L 18-2 today thus far... 68 runs given up in 5 games and counting. That's ... impressive.
  18. Interesting! Congrats to Strzelecki on getting back to the bigs. He was my dark horse to make the team out of ST to balance out the bullpen..
  19. I can't imagine any other series in Timber Rattlers history was as lopsided as this one. South Bend has scored 500 runs in the last few nights.
  20. https://x.com/OptaSTATS/status/2055636642640056655?s=20 Sorry I thought that link would embed... "After Friday night, the @Brewers' Aaron Ashby now has 8 wins this year - all in relief. No one else in MLB has more than 6 wins. It's the first time in the modern era a pitcher had at least 2 more relief wins than any other MLB pitcher had total wins at the end of any given day."
  21. Rylan Mills getting moved up to Wilson is a nice little crumb this morning. Would love nothing more for him to rake and shove Dinges up to AA by EOY.
  22. Is there an official or unofficial number we are looking for to declare someone 3TO? If there isn't can we create one? Is it just 50% we are looking for? Re: Sanchez above.. looks like in 104 PA he has 19 BB (18.3%), 5 HR (4.8%) and 22 SO (21.1%) so his 44.2% 3TO does not meet my fabricated criteria above. *editing this to acknowledge you would need a minimum of each to qualify because Garrett Mitchell technically with his 15.8% BB, 37.9% K, and 1% HR number would break my fictitious 50% number and therefore qualify as a 3TO player this season without the power*
