  1. viewtopic.php?f=64&t=31048&start=120 Figaro off the DL for Fiers. Cravy up from AA for Mills. Perfect. Glad to see Cravy get moved.
  2. Plot twist. Gibson is a closet Brewer's fan and wanted to give the team a jolt to push them into the All-Star break.
  3. Who took Fiers spot when he was moved up? Does Fiers just slip back into the rotation with no additional moves or can we pull up one of our deserving AA guys and move a few dominoes forward?
  4. I don't have gamecast and I dont have a TV feed so I am going off of a box score and your commentary. Very confused right now...
  5. Logan Schafer's first 3 AB's down in Nashville: double, single, triple. Major League pitchers are really, really good.
  6. "hit over .300 in each of his last 19 seasons" "career .338 hitter" "8 batting titles" I'm not sure any of those will ever be touched again.

  8. I don't disagree that the return won't be eye opening ... but what kind of prospect do we need to be offered to listen? At what point is having 2 LOOGY pitchers out of the pen a tradeable strength when you do have Smith as well? I don't know if trading them 1 for 1 is a good idea as the return is a fringe prospect at best and their contribution to a playoff run is more valuable than a non contribution in a few years from a AA prospect, but I would attach either of them (ZD, TG) to Weeks. Estrada, Garza, etc and see what conversation could take place.
  9. Niggle? I wasn't going to be the one to ask. Is he trying to play off of nagging?
  10. Hopefully we can hit this lefty a bit better than Locke. Get the series win on the road! Road series wins are incredible to build that portfolio.
  11. This is a bit of a digression.. but we are kind of in a "golden era" as Wisconsin sports fans in terms of excitement for ALL teams. Considering the Packers are perennial playoff contenders with the game's best player and just signed Peppers/had a good draft, etc, the Brewers are here and look like legit contenders, the Bucks suck ... but are drafting #2 and have a good stable of young talent which means nothing but is worth watching/monitoring/being excited over ... the Badgers football team returns a top 10 team again, the Badgers basketball team just hit gold, and for the NorEasters, like me, the UWGB Phoenix have the best program they have had in two decades. I realize UWGB bball and Bucky basketball shouldn't really take up much time on the airwaves at this point ... but as a straight Wisconsin sports fan there is A LOT to take in right now. I also am anticipating a bull rush of Brewer visibility once the All-Star clears and the Crew trades FOR someone rather than trade AWAY someone ... the buzz will pick up.
  12. I'm not opposed to Coulter staying to work on defense behind the plate, but I guess I don't see him remaining there in the minor leagues and I think his bat could move pretty quick through the ranks. I don't know if they want to wait until the offseason to begin the 1B/3B/OF transition but I just don't see it working out back there... but I could be wrong.
  13. Here is BA's article on it from last year. Thanks, that helps. I'm curious as to the value of said slots though. I know each team will value them differently, but is Brad Mills (for the sake of this thread) worth an extra 300K in bonus pool money? Worth an extra 100K? I don't know the values of those pieces...
  14. How has Yo looked for those watching the game? Obviously it can't be terrible with his current line ... is he being as picky as his pitch count suggests?
  15. St Louis with a sizable lead... let's put up a crooked number so I can begin my Sunday evening festivities knowing a 5 game lead is safe.
  16. Everytime Yo pitches I'm hoping to get him through 4 innings in under 60 pitches. We will try next time...
  17. Signed and signed. Now get them into the system and let's get to work. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140607&content_id=78718586&notebook_id=78718892&vkey=notebook_mil&c_id=mil
  18. Not my ideal either.. I think Roenicke really wants Gomez hitting 4th though and then who is your other option? Especially in today's lineup... Weeks Yep, overlook on my part.
  19. I think some extra Bonus Pool space would be awesome but I am not familiar enough with the value of those slot picks and the corresponding cash to know what Mills could bring back from say, the Marlins. Is Mills worth the slot money at 32? 62? 92? Is anyone familiar with the value of that money? I guess just as a reference, can you put Brewer players into perspective for me? The Astros hold the #1 slot at $3.3 mil .. the Brewers would have to trade which player to get that slot? Who to trade to pick up slot 60 and the $326,000? Slot 120 and $137,000? I realize it isn't that simple ... but if anyone has any background on it .. I'd appreciate the explanation.
  20. Not my ideal either.. I think Roenicke really wants Gomez hitting 4th though and then who is your other option? Especially in today's lineup...
  21. I don't know about everyone else but I have a lot of fun forecasting player movement, especially as we get closer to the all star break because that's when a lot of first half moves are made obviously. I was hoping for some insight on the 3 higher leagues as I am only up to date on the higher prospects once we get above Appleton (I live here so I am more in tune with this roster). I know we have a lot of players who need to face some tougher competition and should be bumped up a level... wondering what moves will be made in the next month given performance, depth, etc? I'm trying to take in as many TRat games as I can currently as I'm expecting to be without Coulter very shortly.
