  1. If there is going to be a shakeup it will be on the offensive side of things and I think they may just add a QB coach and not change all that much. I wouldn't be against bringing in Tolzien as the QB coach. He is currently an assistant coach with the Cowboys. Engram has coached WR / TE in the past so I think he could become the coach there if one needs to be removed for a QB coach.
  2. Abreu would be fine if you are looking for a #3 hitter but traditionally when someone says run producer they usually mean the #4 spot in the lineup. I think you lose value with Abreu as the #4 hitter and he is better as the #3 hitter in the lineup.

  4. I think Engram has done well enough to stay. Losing their best TE this year has been the biggest issue other than the offensive line. The OL has been bad overall I am not sure as a unit they do anything that is positive. They don't run block all that well and pass protection is like putting a wet blanket on the field as a blocker. The OL is limiting what they can do on the offensive side. On the rare occasions when the OL does their job correctly the offense has looked really good. The skill position is still poor at WR and TE is not all that great either. The offensive scheme at least passing wise goes through the TE and without one healthy that can actually catch and run routes this offense is going nowhere. Allen has also been hurt with a shoulder injury and he isn't really playing all that well as the #1 RB. I don't think he will clean house and most if not all will return next year.
  5. I think the Blue Jays will be the ones to end up with Bellinger. The fit there is almost perfect it also means they can trade one of their catchers for a decent pitcher instead of trading for a CF. I am not sure Candelario will bounce back as a lot of his advanced metrics are pointing downwards. Also I don't believe he would be much of an improvement over Urias at 3B defensively actually he is probably a downgrade over Urias defensively at 3B. Candelario would have to put in another 2020 season to be an improvement both offensively and defensively over Urias. If Candelario is replacing Peterson or is just another bench option then sure he would be a good addition. I don't see Candelario being an everyday player or expected to be an everyday player.
  6. Dike has no hands at all. How do you drop that pass?
  7. They want to feel important? I have no problem with it let them have their glory even if it is small or nothing at all.
  8. I think it is more of a hypothetical than anything else. Also I don't see the Brewers playing in FA for a 1B or a DH. I think the Brewers are going to go reliever heavy in FA.

  10. I think you will have to get a third party remote for one. There used to be a remote with a switch you could use for multiple TV’s but I don’t believe they make them anymore.
  11. When pasting a tweet it needs to look like this: 'https://twitter.com/jessetemple/status/1591192539348230145' without the apostrophes so it shows up like below:
  12. I think Houser/Lauer will be traded. The FA pitching market is insane with the prices floating around even for the third tier players in Quintana and others. So I think the Rangers and Angels would be good targets for Houser/Lauer. I don't think the Brewers would get a MLB ready player and it will be mainly prospects in return for either.

  14. Cleveland right now is the favorite for Murphy as they tried to get him during the deadline.
  15. I think Warren is going to be an interesting prospect to follow next year. He should start in AA next year and if he has a good year he finishes in AAA. Hopefully what we have seen in the AFL this year translates to AA next year and he starts to take off. He may not be someone who will be an all star but a useful utility player is something I could see him becoming in MLB.
  16. Bell can be counted for being good in one of the halves of the season. Just which one is going to be the question. He only has one full season where he was basically the same all year for the most part in 2018. 2017 2018 2019 2021 2022 Career
  17. Physical attributes are weight and height. Athletic attributes are power, speed, quickness and skill (bat to ball, repeating delivery, etc.). There is a difference between physical attributes and athletic attributes. No Hart being tall and Wiemer being tall had nothing to do with the comparison. It is the comparison of the athletic attributes like speed, power, arm strength and others which matches Wiemer very closely. When you look at a young Jenkins there is a lot of comparison between him and Wiemer. What side of the plate one hits from is irrelevant when looking at their athletic attributes.
  18. Not sure why you are so hung up on the physical attributes when I have said they are not what I am looking at when comparing them.
  19. The most I would go for Jansen would be a Ruiz, Valerio and one or two lower minor league players. I think the Blue Jays will be looking to get MLB ready SP and a CF so maybe Small and Ruiz for Jansen instead of Ruiz, Valerio and others. That is as high as I would go for Jansen which probably doesn't get you close enough for Jansen. The BTV value is to high for Jansen as he only has 2 years of control left and last year was his big breakout offensively. While he is better than Narvaez defensively when the Brewers traded for him and Narvaez had 3-years of control and he was only valued at 12. I think Jansen's true value is closer to 15-18 than it is to 26-30. I still don't want to give up Mitchell in a trade for a catcher who will only be with the team for 2-years and last year was his best offensively. Not to mention Jansen has only played one full season in MLB and that was in 2019 where he was absolutely awful offensively. I am not sure I buy that Jansen is a good catcher. He had a great year last year and maybe his on the up but he may not be an everyday catcher. It looks like he does better when he is not the everyday catcher. I don't want to trade Mitchell for someone who could be a 70-85 wRC+ catcher no matter how good they are defensively. If the Blue Jays would take Ruiz and Small or Ruiz, Valerio plus then sure but if the deal needs Mitchell I would be walking away from the deal. Let someone else pay that.
  20. Athletically they are similar players not a one to one comparison but they are very close athletically. I don't really look at height and weight when comparing players nor do I look at their stats. It is mostly off of scouting reports, I have been able to collect some scouting reports on players usually just hand written notes or even an official scouting report here and there from some friends and through other means. This is what I compare with what I am seeing of the player in question. Hart is probably the closest you can get to a one to one comparison of Wiemer. Both are very athletic as they could both play all three OF positions. Hart played less than 100 games at 3B. I don't think he ever really fit there and it was mostly at high A with a few games in the AFL. 1B is not really an athletic position so I don't really see that as a plus for Hart. Athletically Hart is the closest to Wiemer but Sosa and Vaughn were no slouches when they were younger athletically. It is basically just looking at the players scouting reports and determining what players are comparable. It doesn't have to be an exact match and they don't have to equal each other statistically or physically. They just need to be in the same group which I gave a few examples of.
  21. The winter meetings haven't even occurred yet which is usually when the FA signings and trades start to happen. The NBA free agency period is quick because of the cap and teams know how much they can and can't spend. The 10th was also the first day of free agency. I don't believe there has been much movement on the first day and the second day was a holiday. It is usually the week before and the week after the winter meetings where everything starts to pick up.
  22. Wiemer is closer to Corey Hart or Geoff Jenkins than he is to Jay Buhner. Athletically Wiemer is closer to Hart than the others. Another player that Wiemer reminds me of is Sammy Sosa who wasn't all that bad in RF either. I think Wiemer is a little bit more athletic than Sosa was when he was younger. Yet another player closer to Wiemer would be Greg Vaughn.
  23. Click was GM in name only at Houston. He was basically the assistant GM to the owner.
  24. This O-line is absolute garbage. All should have their scholarships taken away. They don’t deserve to have them.
  25. It is the same job the POBO does the GM’s job it is the same throughout MLB. The Dodgers promoted Brandon Gomes to GM as he was one of the finalists for the Mets GM spot before Eppler got the job. Now that he is the GM of the Dodgers teams are going to be denied to interview him. Friedman was basically the GM but was the POBO until January of this year. It is a title nothing more. POBO is the GM and the GM is the POBO.
