  1. Lol watch what a terrible play that was. If it’s not an error I don’t know what else to call it.
  2. It’s on espn today, I’ve got brats from Rueff’s thawed and plenty of charcoal. Let’s give Lester something to shut his stupid mouth about, pink bats and all.
  3. Some nice video of him from 5/3 is found here.
  4. From yesterday, this was the first of eight consecutive games against the Marlins' AAA club, meaning don't forget to look on the other side of the box score for Lewis Brinson, Monte Harrison, Isan Diaz, and even Yadiel Rivera over the next week. (RHP Jordan Yamamoto is at AA Jacksonville.) *** The Shuckers posted their next-morning video highlight package, here's their look at Tuesday's 6-2 victory. Another thing I noticed is what a ridiculous season Zac Gallen is having for the Baby Cakes. One would have to think Miami will be promoting him very soon.
  5. Running through Sedar’s sign actually shows marked maturity. More guys should be doing the opposite of his signals. Sadly only half blue.. Seriously though if Arcia was seeing the throw it was a heads up play.
  6. When I last saw it was 7-1 after 6. I wouldn't have figured Craiger would need to drag 5 arms out of the pen in order to finish it up. Great series though. Great streak.
  7. I’ve semi hoped he’d be a Brewer for years. Such an intriguing player. His glove should end up in the hof someday! Or some museum anyway.
  8. With the count 3-1 on Moustakas, I thought giving him first base was the obvious play with Shaw on deck.
  9. No kidding. If you like bluegrass his old stuff with The Steeldrivers is great too.
  10. I hope his first game back in the bigs is at home. It would be a very cool home crowd moment when he came to the mound.
  11. I’ll chime in. Regarding country I agree with what’s been said about modern “country” but the stuff that is current and popular is mostly pop music for kids. There are some great current artists in the genre. For anyone looking for something current but meaningful or at least original and well made I have a few suggestions. Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Brent Cobb, Tyler Childers, Jason Isbell and Margo Price. All current and worthwhile. I should warn that Tyler’s lyrics on a few tracks detail some high risk behavior some might find inappropriate. I certainly wouldn’t play it at work.
  12. This makes sense to me all around at this juncture. I still believe In Burnes as a starter long term. What I really hope for is that they will continue to work with him on the side on secondary pitches and mindset/approach to make his next placement in the rotation a permanent one. I refuse to look at Corbin Burnes long term and say he’s a bullpen piece. Not yet.
  13. I had no idea what you were talking about, I’ve been away from tv for awhile. No more than 30 seconds after reading your post the Yost ad came on.
  14. I am not a grammar cop, but when I read professional correspondence strewn with randomly capitalized words, I cringe. I think that's why I so often have a stiff neck.
  15. It's not as far fetched as it might seem at first glance. He's at 35 wins now, and earliest FA for him is 2022. If the Brewers extended him 2 or 3 years beyond that, he could definitely hit 100 wins with his skillset. I wouldn't bet on the extension and health through 2025, but the idea of it isn't totally nuts. Just imagine how good he'll be once he's an adult. Hell, he won 17 MLB games when he was 15 years old. It's incredible, really.
  16. With the way everyone behind him not named Yasmani has been hitting so far, pitching around him is the obvious move. Hopefully middle of the order gets it going now so when people walk Yelich it will backfire in grand fashion.
  17. Dad and I have had good luck going the scalper route. Since we only get to a game or two when I visit in the summer we generally try to get the best pair we can find. Last summer was the first time we had to pay face but the seats were worth it. With that said, I would be hesitant to count on that working out as well with more than 2 people.
  18. I realize this doesn't help, but... http://66.media.tumblr.com/399a1c4b903d78972c2d617b9081b079/tumblr_mmw3alV2551qhe88io1_500.gif
  19. I'm sorry, what? Bootleggers are still a thing? Out here, yes. Most of the surrounding village communities are dry, per local option law. Even in town there are bootleggers who sell jugs after hours at double or triple price. In villages I’ve heard a fifth can cost upwards of $200. It’s insane.
  20. Hah my parents also have a bulldog named Bernie.
