  1. Man, ESPN Gamecast is two batters ahead of me. While Collins is coming up to bat on my tv, gamecast is on pitch 6 to Durbin. This buffering is putting me behind. So annoying
  2. My FanDuel is buffering (if that’s still the term) about every 20 seconds. So annoying
  3. Are you kidding me? He's a Ranger? He's in the Winker-Edman-Bader category of guys who I not only don't like to see up at bat, but guys I just don't like, period.
  4. Damn it @sveumrules! Posting at the same time as you on the same topic makes my post look like the equivalent of a kids' crayon drawing to your PhD defense. I almost, ALMOST, asked you to weigh in on this.
  5. They have allowed the fewest runs (532). The Brewers have allowed 560, which is 4th. Their bullpen seems to be average (I'm not the best at figuring these things out). They are starting a pitcher in his sixth start. His last game he was given a 9-1 lead in the 4th, but for some reason was pulled after 66 pitches and 4.1 innings. He perhaps is on a pitch limit, as he went 71 pitches in his next start. So, get to him early, or make them pitch a lot of bullpen innings. Bottom line, I think the Brewers have a good chance to score a bunch of runs tonight.
  6. Come on Sveum. If you take out the winning streak, they are below .500!!!!!!!!!
  7. Season ends September 28. NLDS begins October 4. If the Brewers clinch the bye, how much rest do you want them to get?
  8. Woman next to me telling me how she’s a Brewer fan but pulling for Schwarber because “he seems like a nice guy.” Not the time for this, lady.
  9. Thank god we have Murphy, for whom this board has unconditional love for his bullpen management.
  10. I agree with all of this. Baseball, of all sports, is the most volatile on a game by game basis due to the number of games. Mike Heller was on the radio saying that the Brewers' remaining opponents were 7 games over .500, while the Cubs' remaining opponents are 65 games under. That alone isn't enough to evaluate. Is playing the last-place Pirates with Skenes on the mound more desirable than playing the Mets with a cratering Kodai Senga starting? Records would suggest you'd rather play the Pirates, but recent starter results would disagree. I'm still worried about the Dodgers. Record aside, season results thrown out, why would you want to play against that lineup in the post-season. I am sure that as the month continues, the exercise about who you would rather play in the playoffs would ramp up. I think it is a fruitless exercise, and has not served the Brewers (or their fans) well in the last few years.
  11. Boy, consider this a non-biased recommendation to be a caretaker. For a site I am on daily, pretty much year-round, I haven’t even thought about an ad popping up for a while. And Brock seems like a good guy.
  12. He has to be human? Damn.
  13. I don’t know man. Are you confusing results with the approach? It’s getting harder and harder for me to question what this team does. Not everything works out, but if each post on this site were a wager, many posters here would have busted months ago. Priester? Most hated the trade, or at least ***’d it. Same with the deadline. Daily lineups get side-eyed. Read the Season Wins thread, the April, May, June, July and especially August Prediction threads. The IGTs are a collection of bad takes. The Brewers are going to approach each game, inning, at-bat and pitch the way that has gotten them the best record in baseball. And I think that’s great.
