  1. What a great win! Wilson, Peguero, Chourio hit the ball hard, Ortiz HR, Turang and Adames with great D.
  2. I'm going to assume he's a baseball player, and not a clubhouse attendant or other hanger-on. Just googled him. I have no memory of ever hearing his name before.
  3. Brewers 16-5 at home since a 7-7 start.
  4. Bally sports app kicked me out during the 6th. Now not only do I not live where I live, the app says there is no programming in my zip code. I’ve watched almost every game! Until an hour ago
  5. We shall see. I'm sure his toe is connected to his rotator cuff somehow.
  6. Of all the teams who should know better than to give up on the season, it's gotta be the DBacks, right? Why would they be sellers in any capacity? It seems really odd for them to consider trading Walker.
  7. Getting pretty sick of Jake Croenenworth.
  8. Padres getting nibbled to death by ducks
  9. Stringing hits together is so satisfying
  10. OH MY GOD I AM SO TIRED OF BREWERS GETTING TAGGED OUT AT HOME I COUKD SCREAM!!!!!!
  11. Perhaps, but the leverage is all on one side of the table in this conversation.
  12. He's never stated it, but it seems pretty clear that Yelich doesn't want to play first base. And if he doesn't, I don't know how much of an option it is. And he might be a terrible first baseman. Who knows at this point? Arnold stated in December that Yelich would remain in the outfield, and I doubt that he was talking without getting CY's input on the matter. I don't think there has been any news about him working out at 1B, so my guess is that Yelich is using his status as a veteran to quash that talk.
  13. What a weird lens to view that through. Besides the fact that you ignore current trends, you guys banging the drum for Ortiz and Chourio to play more give no thought to the fact that the Brewers may be managing their playing time to keep them playing well in September/October. What use is it to wear down two of your most promising rookies? Besides, when the Brewers traded Burnes for Ortiz and Hall, I read in the trade thread that Ortiz is a utility infielder. Why play him more?
  14. Outside of the two games where he rested his hamstring, Ortiz has started 31 of the last 33 games. What does full time mean to you if that doesn't qualify? And Monasterio can play 3B as well.
  15. Bryse had a nice outing against the Reds last time. And if you add up his 11 "starts", the Brewers are 6-5 in those games. Except for the 10-2 Detroit game, Wilson is keeping the Brewers in the game until they can get to the other team's bullpen.
  16. My hate for the Orioles goes back to the 70s and 80s. The series to finish the 82 season just about killed me. Murray, Palmer, Singleton, DeCinces, Lowenstein/Roenicke, and of course, Earl Weaver. I hated them. Still feel that way today, although with how pathetic they have been for most of the last decade (THREE 100-loss seasons? Really? Including a 47-115 year?), it's different now. Angelos was pretty easy to hate as well.
  17. Brewers are 10-7 for the month of June. That's a good pace. Would get you about 95 wins in a season. A week away from the halfway point, and the team keeps avoiding long losing streaks and has managed to win four series in a row since Philly. 8-4 in the last twelve. Amazing season so far. Get some good health luck, and we are going to be talking about setting up the rotation for the playoffs before we know it.
  18. I know Frelick saved the game from being tied on Tuesday, but Megill has seven saves and has given up one earned run in June. I'll take that from a guy who would have been the fourth or fifth choice at closer before the season started.
