  1. I'd rather us lose to these good teams now, than lose to them in the playoffs. Yeah our record isn't good against them now, but that really doesn't mean anything in baseball. We just have to be hot during the playoffs and anything can happen.
  2. Wow I never thought about that...that could either be amazing. Or terrifying.
  3. We will get our redemption in the World Series this year...oh wait this isn't the optimism thread? Woops :)
  4. If he gets that kinda money we almost have to pass on him. It would strap us as a small market. We can only afford one of those big contracts at a time really and that's Yelli. Or we sign him to a big deal, then flip him when he's hot after a year or two I wouldn't mind that either and sell high with someone waiting in the wings in the minors by then hopefully.
  5. Corey Koskie? Wasn't he pretty good for us until he hurt his head or something? Did that end his career?
  6. That Late 90's uniform too just before Miller Park very underrated. The tweaks they made to the 1994 rebrand were great for this time period. I think they finally started selling these hats again at Lids.
  7. Great stats as always. We always enjoy your insights thanks!
  8. Love these threads for two reason! 1) It means we are usually doing pretty good, and are in the hunt or leading the division race. 2) Love seeing random and obscure Brewers used.
  9. Yep I have a feeling some phantom injuries are coming to make room for these guys.
  10. Brewers vs Cubs at Lambeau, or Soldier Field would be cool. But I'm not sure a baseball field would fit.
  11. Put the kids to bed, log into iPad and see the game thread is only 5 pages long a couple hours into the game. My guess was the Brewers were up big and it turned out to be true :) Nice W feels like we never get "comfortable" wins like this. Ever. Or is it just me? There has to be a stat on which team has most wins by a 5 run or more lead my guess is we are near the bottom?
  12. mixed sex track? Is that new? That is awesome! Would of loved something like that in high school or college.
  13. I'd rather have them go through a lull now than in September before the playoffs. Gotta get hot at just the right time.
  14. Shouldn't there have been a "Safety" playing way back just in case someone broke one like that? Just seems like a epic collapse in D from the other team.
  15. That's the crazy thing about baseball. Even the best teams, the World Series champs every year go through tough losing stretches. It just happens. Wow is that our old Brett Phillips? What a story that would be if he came back to the MLB to pitch. He always did have a cannon. Great laugh too wishing the best for him! That World Series hit was epic on the Rays.
  16. I've accepted the fact that I'm now too old and not the prime age for these jerseys to appeal to me. We aren't the target market for these. People that say "fire, drip, rizz, and wild" are. But yes they are terrible. :)
  17. Yep! All these players back from the injured list is like our very own trade deadline acquisitions without having to give anyone away. Not too shabby and should help us in the 2nd half.
  18. Think we all know Winker will make us pay all weekend.
  19. Great W boys! Man I was catching up on the gamethread putting the kids to bed...reading the first 6 pages you could of swore Dallas gave up 15 runs in 2 innings on here...come to find out it was 2 over 5. Somehow still finding ways to win. Amazing.
  20. One good starter and I think we have a legit chance. Next year might be our year if Woody comes back strong and said starter we acquire is under control for another year. Maybe another arm in the pen you gotta thing some of these guys might be gassed by end of Sept. But our track record of deadline pen arms hasn't been good. We just might have to give up some good prospects...and I'm sure everyone here hates that fact but we have quite the logjam right now these next couple years if our younger guys keep it up.
  21. Sounds like a World Series to me...
  22. Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers for all the reasons above...
  23. Hoskins struggling hasn't helped. He was one of the guys who usually mashes LHP who was brought in.
  24. Was there about 15 years ago. Nice stadium. We sat one night close to the Brewers dugout, and then got cheap seats the next night we wanted to sit up by that purple mile high stripe which was cool. There used to be a Brewers/Packers bar close to the stadium that was kinda fun too after the game or before. Forget what it's called.
  25. My nightly putting the kids to bed routine is to check in on the IGT because it's quieter and less bright than the game. If it's 3-5 pages long, we're winning...if it's 5-10 pages long we're losing. If it's over 10 pages we came back to make it close and blew it late, or we ended up winning. Any loss seems to bring out the haters, despite this team exceeding expectations like crazy so far and doing it very banged up as well I might add. Pretty exciting!
