  1. One thing that bugs me about today and yesterday is that Mitchell is the OF getting pinch hit for more often than Frelick. I think in these LHH heavy lineups they should flip Mitchell and Frelick around so Frelick is the guy getting pinch hit for and not Mitchell.
  2. Thank goodness the Red Sox wanted Caleb Durbin. Imagine what this pitching staff would have looked like this year if we didn't have Harrison and Drohan
  3. Sounds like Pena will be back in the lineup tomorrow according to an article on MiLB’s website
  4. Because the Brewers aren’t going to give up on Frelick after two months whether you like it or not.
  5. I don’t think anyone is blaming Vaughn. Today was just a good example of why until his bat speed is back the team is a better team with him on the bench against RHP
  6. Both straight into the ground with very low xBA. They were not well hit balls.
  7. Vaughn wasn’t coming off a broken hamate bone with regressed bat speed in that moment. He’s looked significantly worse against RHP this year than he did last year.
  8. Murphy defending his decision to hit Sanchez and also said he put Perkins in to bunt. That 8th inning was honestly one of the worst managed innings he’s ever had.
  9. He didn’t hit anything sharply today. He looked like a 9 hole hitter trying to advance the runner with a ground ball to the right side.
  10. He just can’t hit RHP with his bat speed down post hamate injury. Needs to get the bat speed back for you can expect him to do anything against RHP
  11. Hopefully the fans clamoring for Vaughn to play against RHP will quiet down after tonight. Just looked totally out of place at the top of the lineup tonight.
  12. I know Murphy said it was just a day off for Chourio but the fact Lara got late scratched in Nashville makes me nervous that something is wrong with Chourio
  13. Not strange that Fischer didn't make the list. BA dropped him out of the Top 10 on their updated team lists when they updated them mid-May. Prospect people aren't going to rate him that highly until he can cut out the swing and miss.
  14. Just feels like I haven't seen Chourio on the bench for matchup reasons since the first few months of his big league career back in 2024. Maybe that's the reason. I hope that's the reason and it's not him nursing an injury.
  15. Yeah I think everything you said makes a lot of sense (though I think Yelich is almost certainly a FA after 2028 and won't have the mutual option picked up) but I just really think Adamczewski might have a special bat. It wouldn't shock me at all if he becomes the best hitter out of the guys currently in the system. He really just seems like a complete hitter. Good contact rates, good chase rates, good power, good batted ball angles. Maybe that's less important if guys like Made and Pena can hit their potential but I really can't think of the last hitter to come through the system that was as complete as Adamczewski looks.
  16. Chourio not being in the lineup today has me feeling uneasy
  17. Well it's not Hardin. Gasser back up. Rob Z to the IL (should have known that was coming haha)
  18. I think Woodford gets DFA'd and Hardin gets called up. Crow and Sproat both make starts as well. I think the Brewers want Misiorowski and Harrison to get 5 days rest. Harrison in particular coming off a 106 pitch start.
  19. Just saw one of the national insiders on twitter say a FO exec told them there's no chance Alvarez gets traded this year.
  20. if I was the Brewers, I think Josh Adamczewski would be nearly untouchable in a trade. I just really, really believe he's going to be a good MLB hitter. I envision him being similar to the version of Bauers we are seeing this year.
  21. Yes lol but his speculation and tea leaves might be right today
  22. Feels like his timing is just slightly off. All of his big contact is being hit to CF. If he syncs up the timing a bit and can start pulling the ball, we could see a big hot streak where a lot of these doubles start turning into HR
  23. Yeah I think Crow probably is a long reliever. It's just very difficult to be successful multiple times through an order when you throw at the velo Crow does. I think Hardin has a higher floor and ceiling. If things go really well for him I think he ends up being similar to Bryan Woo though not sure his ceiling is that high. Maybe a more mid-rotation version of Woo.
