  1. Knoth was definitely a later bloomer that the industry didn't warm up to fast enough kind of similar to Misiorowski last season. I truly believe if Knoth was 6'3 or 6'4 that he would have been a locked in first round pick. The only knock on him is his size. Also for what it is worth, Longenhagen from Fangraphs had Knoth top 30 in his draft rankings. Knoth, Wilken, and Pratt were all in the top 32 I believe.
  2. Height gate officially settled.
  3. .322 xwOBA in July with a 43% K-rate in July. Just absolutely not buying it. Just call up Keston Hiura if you want someone with that volatile of outcomes with a crazy high K-rate.
  4. Rooker is an absolute no for me. Basically a 28 year old rookie who had an insane April and has been bad since. I’m far more inclined to believe who has been since May 1st is closer to who he actually is than his overall season numbers. Since May 1st - .202/.283/.365 for an 85 wRC+ with 8% BB-rate and 36% K-rate. Might as well just call up Hiura instead of spending prospect capital on that.
  5. I absolutely cannot wait for the Saturday minor league slate. Might be the best pitching day of the season. AAA - Gasser AA - Misiorowski A+ - Woodruff on rehab A - Henderson
  6. Yerlin Rodriguez with a 3000rpm 90mph slider tonight and a 100mph FB to end it.
  7. Zamora is also 3 and a half years older than Moore. Moore got off to a slow start this season but has a 116 wRC+ since May 1st and a 123 wRC+ since June 1st.
  8. Lamar Sparks just showed off his absolute cannon once again
  9. In positive news, Luke Adams is continuing his insane hot streak. It’s the 3rd inning and he’s already 2-2 with a 2B and HR. The HR was a 427ft blast to straightaway CF over the 20ft wall
  10. Young just announced on the Mudcats broadcast that Hedbert Perez broke a bone in his foot running the bases on Tuesday. Really feel for the kid in the midst of possibly figuring it out at A ball
  11. Don’t have the money details yet but all the guys round 7-10 signed today and the 2 4-year college guys in rounds 11-20 signed as well.
  12. Brewers could go 4-5 in the next 9 games with 3 wins against the Reds and I would be content going 1-5 vs the Braves
  13. The Keston, Tyrone, Small, Lauer, Urias trade for Ohtani is going to be crazy.
  14. He's been LF/1B/DH/2B this year. 14 G at 1B, 5 G at 2B, 23 G in LF, 9 at DH.
  15. Phillies currently have a .016 xBA their 1st time through the order lol
  16. The 103 wRC+ and 4.9 runs per game were for the entire month.
  17. 103 wRC+ this month and averaging 4.9 runs per game. The offense was really good from July 1st to the All-Star break
  18. Hader has pitched more than an inning with the Padres 1 time and that was in the playoffs, so that's not at all true.
  19. I didn’t even realize Mejia was out of options. Yeah he’s definitely a DFA candidate for that reason alone.
  20. 1. Contreras has above average pop time to 2B. A lot of the SB against him he hasn't even had a chance on and his framing still grades as one of the best in the MLB. He's 7th among MLB catchers in Fielding Run Value, 2nd in DRS, 2nd in Framing, and 2nd in Fangraphs catcher defense. 2. He currently has a 119 wRC+ and is 4th in the MLB in catcher fWAR despite being 9th in catcher PA. 3. Factoring in all these things, he's easily been a top 5 catcher in the MLB this season.
  21. Well deserved promotion for Nate Peterson.
