  1. when you are up by four runs, you wanna walk two batters. I have zero confidence in Hudson.
  2. Monasterio is Capra with the bat, but a worse glove. No thanks. Either can be removed from the 40 for an upgrade at 3b. Moncada who would have been my choice for a free agent this offseason is already on the IL for the angels. So, my route would not have been any better. It was just a bad offseason to need a third baseman.
  3. Capra 's magic is gone. Time to move on. Just wish we had options
  4. If only we would have used Devin Williams to get a 3b.
  5. I dont see how either of these trades impacts Black's playing time. Nobody at AAA (other than Quero at DH) should block Black from playing LF/1B/DH.
  6. Hmm. After the 2-run Homer, he may be fine if we call him Adam.
  7. Might be time for more coffee. You mean Josh Timmerman?
  8. Agreed. The decision to not call him up last year may have been a mistake.
  9. Just got back from the game. Great game and happy to be back to 500 after that horrid start. Will say I am very concerned about Hudson. His 4 seamer tonight never got above 90mph. The short hook by Murph was totally justified. That stuff is not gonna cut it.
  10. Frelick 2-2 already. Couple of rockets off the bat. That 20 lbs of muscle paying off.
  11. Collins could get plenty of AB vs LH. He could spell Mitchell or Frelick in the OF and Turang in the IF. Lots of opportunities.
  12. Durbin's demotion has to be a disappointment. He was traded for because it was thought he was major league ready. He did not look that way this spring. Hopefully he can go down and correct things and be back shortly. We did not get him as a future prospect. We got him for 2025.
  13. This was the first time I'm seeing Areinamo play. Does he have any gears in between Park and 5th gear? That guy plays hard. Runs hard, Swings hard. Toning it down might be a good idea. His last AB was ugly.
  14. Has there been other players that have had minor league careers with essentially equal number of striekouts and stolen bases (111 to 110 for Durbin). That seems like such a crazy stat to me. I'm excited to see what Durbin can do this year.
  15. Going into the spring, I had hoped that Black could take the 3b job, but that did not happen, and seems likely headed to the OF. So, that just leaves the in-house options and Dunn at least has shown a good glove. Hitting 1000 OPS this spring has not hurt either (not that it matters that much, but better to be good than bad). Running with Dunn at 3b seems like the best option at this point, and having Durbin as a platoon/backup seems reasonable to me. They could always make a trade mid season if this does not pan out. I would have preferred better options but there were not that many to be had.
  16. Yeah, I'm on board with yo-yo. Easy to remember and while not accurate as to how it moves, it describes how hard it is to hit.
  17. Has anyone tried the fanduel app yet? I see its $19.99/month or $122.99/season through Sept (saves you about $20). Its also now available as an app on my Samsung TV instead of having to use a firestick like I had to with Bally. I have a new Samsung TV so not sure if that applies to older ones. You can also get it through Amazon prime as well but for the same price. There is a 7 day trial. They are streaming the Brewers at 2pm today and then the Monday night game. Just curious if they made any improvements since last year as the Bally app was such a pain to use.
  18. I was going to say Margot has an advantage of being able to play CF, but I'm not sure he should be ever play CF again. The Brewers have Mitchell and Frelick as well as Chourio. They have fine depth at CF.
  19. This constant hijacking of threads to push an agenda is getting old. We get it. You dont like how MA runs this team. If you really need to post about it, start your own thread and post all you want.
  20. This is disappointing. DeJong is nothing special but I would have done $1M for insurance in case the young guys dont pan out. I hope they bring in some veteran on at least on minor league contract.
  21. Reminder that Seigler can catch as well (none last year and 28g in 2023. 160g total in minors). Well so can Clark but that ship has probably sailed.
  22. Seigler will be my favorite NRI guy to watch this spring. A fast 2b/C with a good eye. Would be nice to have on the bench at some point in the season. Also would make ninth inning blowouts must watch if he gets a chance to switch pitch. Surprised he never got a chance to do that in the minors.
  23. I think putting him 17th in their top 100 is too high. I'm very excited about him but there is little history to show future success using the trackman data. It all makes sense logically, especially the combination of elite number he has. I just take pause getting too excited about him. I've already got him in my top 10 brewers prospects and that feels rushed. Carolina should be really revealing.
  24. I fully expected a Uecker patch
  25. This was updated yesterday and says he will miss 12-14 months from last June's surgery: https://www.mlb.com/news/brewers-injuries-and-roster-moves
