From what you have heard, Is Arnold's asking price just way too much? My fear is that the Brewers are being so unreasonable in their asking price, that teams are just not even trying at this point.

Possible January Signings

We’re halfway through January with very little movement in free agency. You could have probably titled this “February Signings.” That said, I’d be looking at Hoskins or Santana. Don’t think they’ll be looking at pitching. -
The irritating part is they could trade us a couple of their higher-end prospects and still have the best system in all of baseball.

I was hoping for a Burnes-Arraez trade last offseason with the Twins. Always thought he’d be perfect in our lineup but with only two years left of team control, not sure he makes a ton of sense at this point.

This. If we are even remotely in the playoff hunt which is extremely likely, then Burnes is going nowhere at the deadline. They’re not going to pull another Hader trade.

This was proposed on MLB Network. Two top 100 prospects included. -
Agree on Hoskins. In 2025 when Burnes and Adames are off the books, that $18 million won’t break the bank. Might stretch the budget a bit this year but certainly not in 2025.
