Good comedy movies?

Posted
Ok, so normally I do not hardly any movies, but I saw Wedding Crashers last night and think it is the funniest movie ever created. I need some suggestions for other hysterical comedy movies to watch from you guys. Like I said I don't watch movies too often so I don't have any specific favorite actors or anything so fire away....

My faves:

Dumb and Dumber

Old School

Animal House

"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

Idiocracy would have to be added as a new classic. It's too bad it wasn't released in the theaters because it is hilarious. It's probably watched best drinking with a group of friends. The first time I saw it I laughed non-stop.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

UHF might be the funniest movie ever.

I wish I thought Wedding Crashers was funny (minus the 3 min of Will Ferrel) but I just don't. Cheers to you for finding humor there.

I agree with most here but I'll add a few new ones:

Ghostbusters

Super Troopers

The old Pink Panther Movies

Airplane!

The Naked Gun Movies

I just watched "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" and it was pretty disappointing. It starts off really stupid, and I mean, really really bad for the first 15-20 minutes. Then it gets slowly better, sort of the classic Sandler movie, but then when it seems it might redeem itself for overall value, it goes on for another 15-20 and just peeters out. Overall I wouldnt recommend it.

I liked "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry."

I'll second Dumb and Dumber. This is possibly the funniest movie of all time, pending you appreciate slapstick, "stupid" humor.

Don't know if I saw this one yet, but Billy Madison is awesomely funny.

Tommy Boy, Happy Gilmore, Super Troopers, Old School and Beer Fest in that order for me...

Great memory: My nephew saw Tommy Boy once when he was 3 years old...just once. From that day until he was about 5 he said "Ah, sunnova, that'll leave a mark" every time he bumped in to something. Good stuff...

Some of Wedding Crashers was good, but the second half really dragged. Borat was just stupid, not funny.

Airplane, the Naked Gun films, Blazing Saddles, There's Something About Mary are all hilarious. Idiocracy was much better than I thought it would be, it could have been a huge success had they made it more commercial. Dirty Work is very underrated as well. Office Space has some dead spots, but is a very funny premise and idea. I really enjoyed both American Pie 1 & 2.

The Brady Bunch films were wonderful if you were a fan of the show.

Groundhog Day & Dumb and Dumber holds up to repeated viewings, as does Erin Brockovich.

Along with quite a few already listed:

Office Space - even if you don't work in an office it is funny. "Why should I change my name? He's the one who sucks."

Grosse Point Blank

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Mallrats

Groundhog Day

This is Spinal Tap - "but this one goes to 11."

Fan is short for fanatic.
