I'm so surprised that the D-backs are doing so well because their prospect strength like the Brewers has been in position players, but they are playing so poorly and in that home ballpark. Owings used to be a Cubs prospect as a recall.

Anyway, I actually feel pretty good with Bush going today. If he keeps the ball down like he has in his last several starts, we should be okay. If not...I'm sitting in the first row of 103 to catch any long balls.

I'll be in attendance tonight for my second game of the year and second Bush start of the year as well. Last time, Bush had a shutout into the 9th before giving up a few runs. Great start by him, so I hope for a repeat.

I've never been on board or have been a Dave Bush fan. However, with that said, I don't know if it's because of how bad some of our other starters have been or because he has pitched decent as of late, but if Bush pitches well tonight, I may feel the need to jump on his bandwagon.

He has a 3.15 ERA over his last 7 starts, so that might have something to do with it.

I saw Owings pitch against Tampa Bay when I was in Phoenix last month...he had a habit of working into jams, then striking a lot of people out to get out of them. Hopefully we make him pay tonight.

Micah Owings I believe was a 3rd round pick by the DBacks. He was an ALL-American his freshman yr at Geaorgia Tech as a hitter and pitcher. Then again, I may be thinking of someone else.

Micah Owings is fantabulous.

 

I would have drafted him as an offensive player, too. He hit .355/.470/.719 in his year at Tulane. He was the best two-way player in the country.
