Jiminy Beeswax, Ryan Braun is the man. If he keeps this up, we're going to have a "Can Ryan Braun pitch?" thread in the next 6 months.

Anybody know what Braun is slugging? Seems like every hit he's gotten has been for extra bases.

Braun is slugging a healthy 1.000 with a 1.435 ops. Not too shabby.

Today's Gameday, with three weak Craig Counsell AB's, then pinch-hit for by Ryan Braun, who promptly triples, then doubles -- I'd say when the prosecutor rests his case, he'll remind the jury about that piece of evidence.

Something about that being a microcosm...

Honestly I would LOVE to see Braun up as our starter at 3B when the season starts. But I understand why if he is not. He still needs defensive work and I think if the rest of our lineup does what I think it can we can survive with the platoon of Graffy/Counsell still middle of season if they bring Braun up then.

Especially with Braun in an offensive groove when he has played.

Clearly, Braun is the best option at third. I just don't see how you can keep Counsell as anything other than a backup SS/2B and pinch-runner.

He didn't have to make any defensive plays yesterday to "show off" his arm... I think there's valid viewpoint talent-wise as well as financially to keep him in AAA to get some more reps before having him kiss the minors goodbye.

Based upon Braun's spring its obvious thats he an injury waiting to happen and should be traded immediately.

Either that or spring training tell us little and the fact Braun has just been cleared to start throwing tells us that he probably could at least practice some defense before he ends up in Milwaukee.
