Any word on the weather in NY? Will they get this one in?
Sounds like the rain should be pretty light til about 10, but I'm no meteorologist. I did, however, stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night

Looking at this chart...Gorman looks to be dead-on. Maybe some light stuff early on..but the real heavy rain doesnt look to start until 10PM or even past midnight

Weather looks bad for Friday and Saturday, but clearing on Sunday. If Friday and Sat are cancelled. I'm guessing a doubleheader on Sunday and then a make-up game Monday??

Yep, 30% chance of rain until about 10 PM ET, when it jumps to 60%. Considering the game starts at 7 PM ET, you'd think they'd at least be able to get 5 innings in, especially with Harden on the mound.

Man, the Cubs better have this lineup during the whole Brewers series.

Hoffpauir

You absolutely have got to be kidding me with this crap lineup Lou. Don't tell us your playing these games like any other, then trot this craptastic Triple A lineup out there. Unfricking real. My question for you then Lou is this....if you are going to play this crappy lineup against the Mets, are the Brewers going to get the same courtesy?? Because if you go with your best lineups throught that whole series, then you are being incredibly disingenious.

At least Freddi Gonzalez is a man of integrity. he has said he will play his regulars for "the integrity of the game". You could learn something from him Lou.

Yikes, we need a miracle tonight. They might as well call themselves the Iowa Cubs tonight. Sheesh.

Well, at least the Cubs were nice enough to help us tie the wildcard race. Looks like the Brewers will have to do it themselves from here on out, and really, it's only fitting after the way they played a few weeks ago.

Lou's pre-game comments:

1) Cedeno & DeRosa out with injuries tonight

2) Resting some regulars and will probably do that again on Friday because they are going to be getting into Milwaukee late

3) Harden will throw 85-90 pitches tonight

4) Dempster will be his Game 1 playoff starter

He'll put his regulars in there for 2 games and probably put in the scrubs in for one game against Milwaukee.

Give him a break, he put his regulars in for 3 games of the series, and won 2 of them. In that time span, DeRosa and Cedeno came down with injuries.

the whole key is pedro stinks and harden is well. Score a couple on pedro early harden shuts them out for 5 and rain ends the game

man no soto, soriano, ramirez, or lee.

I'll try not to be pissed because had you said going on that the cubs would take 2 in a meaningless series i would have been happy.

Micah freaking Hoffpauir homers. Gotta love 28-year old rookies. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Edmonds follows it up with a walk and Fontenot with a long single to put runners on the corners. It's just sad watching Pedro pitch lately.

Classic.

I'm sure the Mets will put up a fight, but it is great to see someone like Hoffpauir hit Pedro Martinez.
