And That

I'm guessing Peralta at #1

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I'm looking for Mike Walker to make his P50 debut, and I think it's all but a given that Santo Manzanillo will as well. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Guessing that Butler will fall off (cruel timing...), along with Arnett (http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif). Arnett might not fall all the way off, but he's probably going to plummet. Thornburg & Morris are my best guesses for helium.

I just noticed something interesting about the top three pitching prospects (Rogers, Rivas, and Peralta). They all missed all of 2007 (except for 9 innings by Rivas).

Understatement of the year! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Heckathorn might get some helium. He has pitched over 17 innings without a walk and 15 Ks so far. Nice!

- Always look before you leap... I didn't realize Heckathorn was already at #6. Not a lot of room to rise, but I really just wanted to post those BB/K numbers.... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

edit- Heckathorn update...

I'm furiously mashing keys. I'm even missing a trip with my wife and kids to the Mall of America. It'll be up around noon.

Edit... Three notes:

1) Reggie Keen was #51.

2) Santo Manzanillo is not in the top 50. I was very disappointed.

3) There is a new, Braddockian eligibility rule.

Biggest helium watch has to be Ross, very well could be top 20.

Pitching wise Id have Ross 7th (below is how I rate the top seven)

Peralta

Rogers

Rivas

Scarpetta

Heckathorn

Thornburg

Ross

I do not consider Braddock a prospect anymore but not sure he "officially" has lost him status

You guys have to keep in mind that, as colby is fond of saying, the P50 isn't a hot sheet. I like Mike Walker and Santo Manzanillo too, but the season's only a couple weeks old.

Santo Manzanillo: 1 for 1 in save opportunities, #1 in my heart.

With all the Link Report man-love you have been throwing around, the guy doesn't make the P50? I figured he was a shoo-in! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Surprised.

I like that top 7, but I might put Scarpetta over Rivas based on talent. Before the year, I remember a lot of people saying they liked him to eventually surpass Peralta.

Obviously, that won't be happening as long as Wily keeps dealing the way he has (save that crazy inning in this last start), but he still has a high ceiling and hopefully will start being more consistent with his outings. Thornburg is where he should be now, but I could see him pull an Odorizzi and make a big jump depending how his season goes.

Edit: We'll say 50 minutes, from when I said that. Believe me, I want this to be over, too.

Cue the Tom Petty......THE WAITING IS THE HARDEST PART!!

It would seem that uploading it might be a bit harder... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Seems like quite a bit of movement overall, maybe I'm just not remembering past P50s well.

The comments about Komatsu made me think of Shane Victorino, and then I checked out the latter's MiLB stats. With a good 2011, Komatsu will definitely be a legit prospect.
