Right, but that's not exactly apples to apples there. That was diagnosed on the mound, they didn't have MRIs at that point, or give him a work out. Hardly comparable.

Certainly not apples to apples but it does not raise confidence in a medical staff.

 

Because 3 years ago they didn't know the severity of Yo's injury while on the mound, and then because Marcum re-injured himself today? If your concern is based on different events 3 years apart, I'd say they're doing okay.

To be fair I called for the heads of the medical staff on that day. So yes, I am still concerned that they aren't the most qualified people around. Harsh but in some jobs it's a one mistake and your out type of deal.

 

Now as far as Marcum, I do not know anything so I am not going to judge. Hopefully everything will be kosher in the end.

That was an awful, awful route by Braun. Gomez practically came over and caught it and Braun barely got a hand on it. That was terrible. Not really what you want in a 1 run game. RR brings in Dillard with a lefty PH and another lefty due up third. Smart move Ron. Smart move.

 

And there goes the daggar. Anyone other than RR not see this coming?

It's just amazing that he can be an amazing hitter and a great athlete overall but just can't track balls.

Dillard is pretty awful. Pretty clear the book on him is out and Kotsay may even be able to groove one of Dillard's pitches off the wall.

I know we don't have a lefty in the pen but there are better options out there than Dillard to face lefties.

Saito really can't come back soon enough. Option out Dillard & DeFelice; bring back Braddock & Saito. I will be 100% more comfortable with the pen when Saito and Braddock are back.
