I would imagine Marcum is also a little frustrated himself for bobbling that double play ball. He had a rough inning and made the pitches to get out of it. then that happened, and then something much much worse happened.

Only thing is Lucroy didn't call the pitch to be right down the middle.

can't say I'm shocked. We're not going to sweep every series. AZ got every break in this game and things were going their way.... before the 5 run outburst. Diamondbacks won 95 games, can't be too surprised they showed some life at home.

Like I said. I expect to be at Miller Park on Friday. The Brewers cannot beat any decent team outside of this city. For whatever absurd reason, they can't. If they do win Game 5 they will lose to the Phillies in 5 games at the most.

I'd like to see a breakdown of how many road series the Brewers won against teams .500 or better. Or how many teams above .500 they won a series against, period. I have a feeling it would support my point very clearly.

Verlander's a power pitcher who relies entirely on his great stuff. If his velocity starts dipping in the next couple years, he's potentially A.J. Burnett.

So any pitcher now that doesn't have a 95+ MPH fastball is nothing but a Suppan in waiting? I don't buy that. Marcum was near ace level the 1st half of the year, came down to earth later in the year. He's still a very good starting pitcher, just got the worst possible umpire behind the plate tonight for his game.
