2007 Vent Thread, Part 2

Rluz, dude I said it FIRST! The Brewers are likely to be BELOW .500 and out of 1st place come the end of next weekend. The Crew SUCKS! Bill Hall got his money and now he is a NO-SHOW. Hmm, has this ever happened before? lol! JJ Hardy (bless his soul) is starting to make a RAPID descent back to the face of mother earth. Chris Capuano, oh geez I won't even go there.

The only GOOD thing with this fall back to reality is the bandwagon jumpers are starting to disappear. The so-called I've always been a Brewer fan and know all there is to know about the franchise folks. (makes me want to puke!) Let me say I have seen a lot of these folks over the last month and a half at my local watering hole. They're like cockroaches, crawling out of the woodwork. They would look at me and my Brewers cap and start spewing off how great the Crew is and claim to know all. No matter if they were almost always inaccurate in their assessments. sigh. Good riddance. If you do come back make sure you do your homework.

Ok I see the Crew somehow winning tomorrow. Good lord. sigh!

I had someone tell me how great Cecil Fielder is doing this year. And honest mistake except they were 22. Just a funny thought.

I have only been on the board for around a year if not a little more. So I don't know how BF used to be. back in the good days when you could read it without huge vent posts. I have no idea if the baseball talk was better when there were fewer people or what the case was. However I'm willing to bet that all the venting has something to do with a team that got out to a huge start and people actually thought this team was going to run away with the division or be the first team that won the divison in many many years. Yes they still might, but this team is playing bad right now. So you have to forgive us Brewers fans for feeling a little tricked and not think, "same old Brewers". People before expected the Brewers to do bad, so why need to vent on a team that you know is going to suck. Now that they are supposed to be good, people are going to share their opinions and emotions. I have said all along the Brewers will not win the division but the Cubs will. Maybe you're getting really pissed with the people venting because you too are feeling a collapse and are affraid of it. It's ok to be affraid, because it probably is going to happen

If I wasn't irrationally emotional about this team (during good times AND bad), I probably wouldn't be posting about them on an internet message board.

Tonight and Sunday are very important games. I know a baseball season is very long bu the Brewers are playing the worse team in baseball this weekend with a starting pitching staff that can be best described as dreadful to apocolyptic.

To lose another game to this bunch is simplpy inexcusible for a "good" team.

The vet players on this time need to start pulling their own weight.

Mench, Estrada, Hall, Jenkins, Counsell, Graffy and etc....

It is time you guys start to contribute more than bad at bats.

The "Young" guys are doing their part. The young team excuse might actually have somer weight if it were not the vets who are stinking out the joint.

This is good. Maybe if I keep you guys talking about this stuff here, I won't have to read outside the vent thread that a collapse is "likely" or "probably" going to happen.

What are the corresponding probabilities associated with those words, anyway? Greater than 50% for "likely", at least. I'd say "probably" has to be at least 2 in 3. Maybe more? Such slippery little words.

Fire up the vent thread! wow, tonight brings pissed to a whole new level. Year after year, same crap. I can't even continue my post because I'm so mad.

Rydogg, my man, tell me that didn't hurt. Be honest and tell me that didn't hurt.

Im taking the rluzinski view of things. In this world things dont sting as bad when you look at the big picture. Pretend we have won 10 straight to stretch our lead to 5.5 games over the rest of the division.

That is what I am doing right now.

I actually have nothing to vent about... I'm just kind of shocked and disappointed and I felt I needed to write something in the Vent Thread.

Cordero has been lights out all year. I am not going to rip on him tonight. No way.

I am surprised that nobody from the dugout went out to check on Cordero even once. Mike Maddux or Ned Yost could have quickly jogged out there to settle him down a little.

Disappointing.

After the Brewers pounded the Mets on Saturday, I was out at the mall and bought a brand new Brewer hat. Don't know why, as the old one was just fine.

I think this recent run of misfortune all has something to do with that, so I accept total responsibility. Having made this public apology, I expect things to turn around.

If they don't, however, do I burn the new hat and make up with the old one? Maybe buy it some jewelry?

doesn't that pretty much take all emotion out of watching games? whats the point of watching if you're not going to have some kind of emotional feeling towards the game? I don't buy the, "oh well, we lost a series to the worst team in baseball and oh well, we lost one heartbreaker of a game" sure we have a lead in the divison, but these are the games that can pad that lead and we are blowing them.

I'm not gonna rip Cordero. Can't be perfect every day.

But I can't pretend we've just won 10 straight either.

That one just HURTS.

I have to get up at 4:30 and work 16 hours but I'm having another beer which I'll hate tomorrow but not as much as watching that. OUCH!!!
