@Brewers: Catcher Jonathan Lucroy will be placed on the 15-day disabled list tomorrow with a fractured left toe. Catcher Juan Centeno to be recalled.

Lucroy is starting to be more injury prone. I know he's a catcher and that's common but it seems like he's spending more and more time on the DL every year. Oh well, this helps us blow the #1 pick

Not like he was doing anything anyways. Enjoy the time off Luc

I'm asking Doug, Mark, and even Rock and Brian to please not try to give us some kind of nonsense that this rocky start was because of injuries. We all know we would be 2-11 right now regardless the way we have played.

Maybe now they will stop running those stupid commercials........

If I'm Mark A I'm encouraging Melvin to retire.......Hire his replacement and let him try and clean up the mess .....Time for a new direction....

Salary dumps would be nice but guys have to be playing well for other teams to want them so......that could be a problem.....

Well, Centeno was batting .192 in the minors. He'll fit right in.

they have no other catchers in AAA to call up

anyone have a guess on how long he is out, is this a 1 month, 2 month thing.

A good month I would say...possibly a little shorter if minor or 2 weeks or so if major.

Good Lucroy has been utter trash. Can't get worse

Good? Seriously, "good" that he fractured his toe? :rolleyes

Hope he doesn't rush back & lets it heal all the way.

+1. Ouch.

His wife dropped a suitcase on his hand in 2012. That was a freak accident. Outside of this broken toe, which takes a few weeks to heal properly, when has Lucroy been on the DL for a prolonged period of time?

The last two years, he's played 300 of a possible 320 games. That doesn't scream "injury prone" to me. Not at all.

Can we curtail our own trash on this board and get rid of posters such as Tplush that make such asinine comments.....there was a huge thread longing for the days of certain individuals....culling the garbage that pollutes the board now would be a good start

He's certainly been struggling, and obviously there's no need to rush him back, so hopefully they don't rush him back.

Lucroy has played more than just about any catcher in the game in the past few years, and probably falls about 24th or 25th on the roster in terms of guys who can take any blame for the past couple of years.

I was really grumpy Lucroy started at first base the other day, and not Rogers. The upside of this is: last time Maldy had a starting gig, he batted really, really well. If we get a month of Maldy with a .750 OPS it paints a different picture of our future. Or at least our options.

And dont forget this Centano. He is only 25, I think. And RR liked him in spring training (the kiss of death?). He is a bit odd, re his splits, In 2014 and 2013 he is MUCH better re left hand pitchers. And Juan is a lefty bat. I wonder if RR knows these stats.

I'm hoping Maldy whacks the ball around the park so we can trade Lucroy and begin the rebuild. Lucroy can net us some nice building blocks.

OR

Teams see Maldy is that catcher who will remain nameless from St. Louis 2.0 and we can get a nice piece in a return of trade for him.

Either way, Maldy needs to catch somewhere. He is WAY better than Lucroy defensively.

Didn't the entire team look good in spring training?

Is Chad Moeller available? Maybe Gregg Zaun?

Tiny sliver of levity: There was a guy sitting near us at Monday's game wearing a Chad Moeller jersey. It was not Chad Moeller.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
