Always been curious about late games on getaway day...is there a rhyme or reason as to when home teams decide on a late start when one or both teams are leaving town right afterwards? My first reaction was that it seems very unclassy of the home team to have a late game when the Brewers need to get on a plane afterwards, but then I noticed the Classies are actually getting on a plane as well to get to Baltimore tomorrow.

I'm just guessing on this, but it might be that St. Louis can be really, really friggin' hot and humid by this time of year. Perhaps it's simply to avoid the heat.

Again, just a guess.

What's the Braxton hr they are talking about?
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Windmill Sedar, doing his thing. I so want this organization to go a different direction and rebuild their 3rd base coach... It wasn't even close, he was out by 10 feet, and Rock and BA acting like it was because of the great throw.

What on earth is Santana doing? Jeez.

Bases loaded with no outs, single to right and we now have 2 outs with runners on 1st and 2nd.

ASININE!

And now Shaw steals 3rd on a close play? What is going on here?

How do you make the 1st out at home with nobody out? Incredible, a chance to blow the game wide open and Sedar single handedly crushes it.

That was one of the ugliest baserunning innings I have ever seen, and amazingly neither Carlos Gomez nor Jonathan Villar were involved. Would've been more appropriate if Shaw got thrown out at 3rd to end it.

Correctly holds sogard and then sends thames when he had to hold, has a leg issue, and the fielder has a good arm. And then with what happened to santana i totally expected shaw to be thrown out at third for the cherry on top. Maybe we just felt bad for stl for some reason.
Remember what Yoda said:
