13 charged errors and we haven't completed the 9th game of the season yet. The defense certainly hasn't been pretty. And it seems almost team wide.

No clue how they gave Zobrist a hit, should be 14. Thames pump faked to two bases, then threw to Barnes who missed first base.

You would swear this game was being played at Wrigley with the crowd noise. That disgusts me.

Games lost so far due to Knebel injury: 1

Unless Knebel was going to strike out all 3 I'm not sure the outcome is much different. Barnes pitched well enough to get the save. There should have been 4 outs by the time the cubs scored a run.

It's just classic "Brewer" baseball. That's exactly what it is, and we've done nothing over the years to shed that reputation.

Barnes should’ve been out of that inning three times with a goose egg. Just putrid defense.

I don't know what people expect re: crowd noise.

That area is 50x the size of Milwaukee and that team has 500x more fans.

These people mostly come because they can't afford Saturday afternoon at Wrigley. The Brewers aren't the Packers.

Definitely makes it worse with the obnoxious Cubs fans. I'd hate to be there with them celebrating if the Crew don't get a miracle comeback win.

Thanks Jacob Barnes.

Blaming Barnes for this means you're not watching. The only mistake he made this inning was not getting to 1st fast enough but Thames should have let that ball go to Villar.

Thanks Jacob Barnes.

This isn't on Barnes, he pitched well and got ground balls. These should be easy plays for the defense, that's what gave up the runs

Get to the bottom half within 5 runs and I think miracles can still happen!

Lousy turn of events in the Top 9th. Defense was a killer. Inability of Barnes to put away two batters with two strikes didn’t help. That’s where we’ve seen Knebel usually succeed over the past season.

That's 100% true.

Yes, Barnes pitched well enough, but top closers put these guys away, and he did not. It's not his fault, but when you let the ball be put in play, things can happen.

Somehow Shaw's error was the least annoying play. I don't know what Thanks and Arcia were doing.

Shaw's play was probably the turning point to be honest. If he gets an out, anywhere, there's probably not any hesitation on the next ball to Thames and they probably get out of it.
