I, for one, would prefer banter at that level of crudeness be reserved for Facebook and Twitter. This board has been great for nearly 20 years due to generally maintaining a standard of quality, which even with game threads being a little more lax, that post doesn't really meet.

 

EDIT: This post was edited by the Mods to remove some verbiage posted earlier - but the sentiment is true.

How did they go from 2-1 to 5-0? Lol. Cubs just can't figure out the Reds. Chatwood is hilarious. Loaded the bases with 2 outs, then threw back to back wild pitches for 2 runs and then got the 3rd out on the next pitch. :laughing

Many of us were all over Chatwood in the offseason, and so was Theo. Stearns said nah, I'll just get a better pitcher for much less money.

Can we be honest about Braun? Does he serve a purpose anymore? At some point you just have to accept it's a huge loss and move on. That said, hopefully Santana finds his stroke and Thames/ Perez are hot so that situation takes care of itself.

Dumping him doesn't get the money back that we owe him, though. So unless he becomes a waste of a roster spot, which he isn't currently, he should hang around.

 

Going forward in 2019 and 2020 I don't expect him to be much more than a guy you platoon against LHP and a bench bat. But he should be one of the better ones in baseball at that..

Watching the Cubs game too. Man that Reds offense is so deep. Without that terrible start they might be a legit threat if they picked up some pitching
