If Miley had a target of 60 pitches and he's at around 70 now and starting to struggle... why is he batting with runners at 1st and 3rd?

So I thought Miley's target tonight was 65 pitches. He's at 78, we have 1st and 3rd and no one out and he's out there hitting for himself? Goodness, why? At the very best he's going 1 more inning, maybe less.

They weren't sure if Suter was going to be able to go for the double header Saturday. I think Woodruff is/was being held back in case Suter can't go on Saturday.

He shouldn't have been at the plate at all. All too often CC blows a golden scoring opportunity trying to squeeze another 10 pitches from his starter.
