Talk about a scrub pitching line, age 26 with two cups of coffee and a career WHIP way over 2.00 and you put him in in the 6th down only a couple.

 

It's all cumulative. Maddon uses all his relievers all the time and wonders why his guys wear down. Strop/Cishek/Wilson are probably about as worn down as it gets and there's still a month to go. As much as CC will leave relievers in too long, he's careful to give guys rest so our key guys are much more fresh than his key guys. Really a perfect bullpen manager would be a hybrid of those 2
