Nasty punch out pitch by Burnes. I'm liking the kid more and more.

Agreed. I'm fully on the bandwagon with Burnes.

That pitch for the backwards K looked like a perfect cutter at 96

So, that's a hit eh?

Top spin liner that he had to leap to get a glove on? Yea, that’s a hit.

He didn't have to leap. The leap was part of what caused him to miss it.

Did he actually have to jump though? I'll give you the top spin part of it, but I disagree that it's a hit.

Just got home and saw it's 4-4 and raining. Wow, lots of pages to this thread. Did I miss anything? Glad they are saving some game for the west coast fans :)

The most discussed play in BF.net history was allowing Peralta to face Carpenter in the 3rd

Which is kind of weird since we didn't have enough available lefties to face him every AB of the game, he was going to see a righty for one of them.

The Cardinals were batting, therefore it’s a hit.

To clarify I thought he should have caught it, but in today’s MLB that’s scored a hit almost every time is what I was getting at.
