25 pitches for Knebel. I would bet heavily that he is perfectly good to go for at least an inning tomorrow. He's a workhorse type reliever who frequently goes consecutive days.

This game..this series has been full of decisions that could go either way. Overall I think Counsell has managed an unconventional series pretty damn well. Except for the 13 inning game.

If the Brewers score a run this inning do you go Burnes over hader? Try to save hader?

Personally I use Hader as the closer in this game. He doesn't come in unless the tying run reaches base or the 9th inning so he only has to go 1.

At last the known part of the decision worked out well. Yes, Knebel is available for an inning tomorrow. Not sure if he can go more than that again, but he's been so good it's probably worth risking.

I'm shocked that didnt break some bones. Youch.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it did. Might be adrenaline dulling the pain just a little right now. Will have to see during the half-inning change.

I thought it glanced off his wrist and hit the knob of the bat.

It definitely hit the knob of the bat. To be honest I think he swung at it in which case the HBP shouldn't count but I'd have to see the replay again.

It's really been a fun series from a baseball intellectual standpoint.

Let’s score like 3 so we can go Davies or Guerra

Seconded! Being able to save the rest of the studs in the pen would be great.

I do think I want to see Jeffress get an inning regardless though. Likely going to need him tomorrow if they win tonight, and I want him right.

If people were getting yelled at for Packer updates then this is worthy of a lifetime ban.

Our softball team lost a close game 4-3 today though we out drank them after the game.

Jeffress warming, I like this a lot! Keeps Hader behind him in case of trouble. Also gives the offense more time to possibly score and not need Hader. If Hader doesn’t pitch tonight he’s got 3 maybe tomorrow.

Interesting tidbit about Cain, he led the NL in infield hits with 27

Every once in a while I wonder what would've happened if we didn't include him on the Grienke trade...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Can you really say that you lost though?
