This stinks to be into the bullpen so early in a game where we scored so much early. This was a big fail for Woodruff tonight, hope it doesn't become a pattern.

If this had been Peralta’s start, this thread would be five pages longer.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

This is how the Brewers will deploy their pitchers. 3rd time through (unless dealing) is playing with fire and they're not going to push it just because the old book says your starter should go at least 5 or 6.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. Woody was at 90 pitches, and was getting slapped around.

I respect your opinion and we'll watch going forward.

It wouldn't be a Chase Anderson appearance if he didn't immediately give up a dinger.

yup, we all knew it was going to happen, so we need to score more runs, not sit on those 8 runs...

If the home plate umpire was terrible like they usually are, it would be ten.

Of the three "rookie" starters, I've always thought Woodruff has to work on limiting damage the most. It just seems to me every time he gives up runs it's crooked numbers...

Wow, you can’t count on Chase Anderson at all anymore

He hasn’t pitched in a while, hopin he settles in and can give us 2 or 3 good innings.

I still Think he can be a valuable weapon out of the pen.

Just saying that using one game to support your theory is not viable. This is game 8. Only two of those the starter hasn't gone 5 innings. Tonight and Peralta's poor start against the Cardinals. Pitch counts and inefficiency were a factor both times. I mean, if a pitcher is getting hit or is wild, it stands to reason they will be pulled before finishing 5, which also coincides with getting to the 3rd time through the order. They aren't doing anything a typical ballclub wouldn't do In my opinion.

Hader might have to go two tonight. Assuming we don't squander the entire eight run lead.

Just maddening that we were up 8-0 and now will have to burn hader.
