3-2 nats after 6 - Cards managed to plate a run after a strikeout...figures!

 

Let's get 6 more outs before the Pads score again - at least one of the Cards or Cubs are going to lose tonight.

 

Realistically which team do we want to win this game though? I mean I think our playoff odds are better if the Nats lose and we gain a game on them. But if I could choose the results I want the Cardinals to be out of the playoffs. We historically play so poorly against them I want nothing to do with them come the postseason.

 

And I want no part of the WC game, even if I think CC and the guys would handle that with aplomb. Too many variables in a one-game setting. Division all the way.

 

Go Nats. Winning the division is the goal. Wild card is a consolation prize.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

At this point I'd almost want them to bring Burnes to see just how bonkers this September roll the Brewers are on really is - he'll probably come out painting at 98 with command of that slider the way things are going.
