Joey Votto's contract makes me happy.

Pom is so nasty.

Really good looking out by the people in charge. I know many werent thrilled by the trade, but it looks like they knew exactly what they were doing...again.

I remember the first few days after we got Pomeranz, Counsell wouldn't touch him with a 20 foot pole. That seems like forever ago now.

I wonder if they were working with him on what they wanted from him because that was odd at the time.

Ha, you're right. Crazy looking back.

I want him back in a bullpen role next year. Hopefully we can keep him.

We sure have a lot of question marks for next year...

It's kind of scary, there is no way we can keep Pom Grandal, Moose, Thames, and add to the pitching staff. I have a sneaky suspicion next year's squad is going to look a lot different.

I think they were still trying to figure out if they were going to try him as a starter or keep him in the bullpen. Glad they went the bullpen route on this one.

The Reds owe 36 year old Joey Votto $100 million more of the dollars.

SS Cubs is just about sunk. Wonder if Joe Maddon is going to be Counsell's bench coach next year after Pat Murphy takes the Cubs managerial job?

I could see David Ross getting a look. I realize you are joking

If you guys think Counsell pulls starters too fast, just remember that Joe Maddon has just watched his starter give up 5 hits in a row to start the 7th inning and has still not taken him out of the game.

[sarcasm]What does that translate to Canadian dollars?[/sarcasm]

Yeah. I was wrong on this deal big time. I thought he was going to be starting but him in the pen has been a Godsend.

I read somewhere they still have a ton of money to spend, and are the overwhelming favorites to win the central next year.

Just as I was about to scream at Cain for swinging at a 2-0 pitch well out of the zone, he comes through with a hit.

Now, Arcia go do the same thing.

And they have a front office that runs things incredibly well. And that the deal for Trevor Bauer was a genius move.

Hint: None of those things are true.

I’ll give Joe Madison credit for recognizing what the Brewers were a season ago. He was telling people how good we were before things really clicked. I’m sure he’s a good baseball mind but I want him no where near the Brewers.
