Well, the good thing is losing a game by 13 counts the same as losing by 1. Here's hoping to winning the next two games 2-1 and driving Cub fans nuts again.

Tyrone Taylor has had zero starts and only 11 plate appearances this year. With Avi reportedly dealing with some back tightness and Yelich not ready to come off the IL, today feels like a good day to change that.

About time. JBJ needs a break but doesn't look like it will be today.

LHP Brett Anderson has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring.

RHP Phil Bickford has been recalled from the Alternate Training Site.

Hopefully Bickford can build on his strong spring.

Hard to believe there could be significant structural damage with Yelich's back, but you never know, I guess.

I mean, it's either something rest will fix or something that he'll just have to play through and manage as symptoms flair, right? There's no rush back if rest will help...

Hope they get some more concrete answers.

MRI would show muscle tears, herniated disc. Doesn’t sound like he’ll be back anytime soon. A herniated disc would list be a painful condition he’d have to play through, or miss a huge chunk of the season trying to heal it with rest or a discectomy

Hard to believe the Brewers don’t have anything to show for the 1st inning, but they did at least make Alzolay work a bit (22 pitches).

Sort of amazing we began the year trying to figure out where all of the outfielders would play, and by the third week of April Corey Ray has been called up and is likely to be the “next man in” if something happens to an outfielder today (depending on Garcia’s availability).

Speaking of Corey Ray, has there ever been a former Brewers 1st round pick that’s on the verge of making their MLB debut with less fanfare? And trust me, I understand why.

I’m surprised they were shifting Sogard so significantly. He goes the other way on ground balls with regularity.

A quick snap back into reality after that San Diego series

Yeah, I want to go back to 48 hours ago.

Freddy Peralta is a combination of tantalizing talent and frustrating inconsistency that I can’t remember from many other former Brewers starters. While he hasn’t necessarily pitched that terribly this inning, Peralta has definitely labored.

Ray is definitely a guy who has benefited from Covid cancelling last year's minors and the delayed start this year. He might be out of baseball by now.
