Nice K to end it!

My back of the envelope math indicates that if the Brewers keep winning series it’s going to be…*checks notes* very difficult for the reds or cards to catch them. So there’s that.

Sounds like the Phillies were the victim of a non called strike that should've had them out of the inning unscathed. Instead the Reds score three and still batting with a 7-3 lead.

Eric Lauer sounded really surprised (and a little annoyed) he was removed after only 4 innings. Said he didn’t think it was the plan, but they thought he “was breathing a little heavy” but then he admitted he does still have congestion and a burning feeling when he breaths.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Are the Cubs going to win another game?

They have three against the Reds starting tomorrow so hopefully they win a couple and then they can go back to losing again.

Nice of the pitchers to finally pick up this offense for a win.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Castellanos and Bell got tossed in the first inning for arguing balls and strikes.

I have the last inning on TV. Realmuto got called out on a pitch well off the plate, and the announcers are talking like it’s been bad all day.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Suter is 12-5

Hahahahahaha

Can CC get him to 20? Would that be a first for a reliever?

Looks like the record for relief wins was set by Roy Face when he went 18-1 out of the bullpen for the 1959 Pittsburgh Pirates.
