2021-09-02: Brewers (Lauer) at Giants (Webb) [Brewers lose, 5-1 -- 8th inning replay reversal changes Crew’s fortunes]

[PinaMadness]

Thanks, New York.

[mtrebs]

Dumb way to likely lose this game… on a reversed replay that did not have conclusive evidence.

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

Well, Devin was gonna give up a run eventually.

[PinaMadness]

MLB has the worst replay system in all of sports and it's not even close.

[pacopete4]

Walking guys eventually bites ya. For a guy that has a good fastball, he sure doesn’t challenge guys.

The only thing I can think of is that they had all views synched up, so that they could see both the tag and the touch together. There was no single, clear shot to justify the overturn.

Let’s hope this is the case.

[PinaMadness]

So much for the sweep.

[dlk9s]

Get it all out of your system now, Williams my friend.

[folly412]

Icky. Oh well, not really sad about this one.

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

Okay, let's go home. Happy and healthy enough.

[markedman5]

Ok…..good road trip……hate to waste the Lauer start but Devin is human…..just a bad day

[dlk9s]

On the bright side, maybe this will get the Dodgers back into the WC slot.

[willie key]

What a bunch of crap

[BruisedCrew]

I wish the Brewers had just fallen behind 6-1 early in the game instead of having a game potentially decided by a dubious replay overturn. Edited September 2, 2021 by BruisedCrew

Sending up the Milner flag

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

What? An up-the-middle single?

[oldguy]

Could have used some offense tonight but that line-up was not our strongest. Vogey may end up odd man out.

[Lostpawn]

And Yelich’s hit streak ends as well. What an ending to this one. I didn’t hope or expect them to win it coming in, but tied in the eighth with Williams in gave me some hope. No worries, on to the Cards series.

[willie key]

Admaes

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

This is ridiculous. Just call it foul. My goodness.

[Lostpawn]

Clown show, MLB. Clown show.

[PinaMadness]

Looked like it hit the pole.

[roadcrew3]

Staredown from the ump to the Brewers dugout post that review tells you all you need to know. Ump show...players and fans just lucky to be there

[DuWayne Steurer]

Looked like it hit the pole.

It missed the pole, probably by no more than a foot, but it missed the pole
