If he pulls Burnes during a no no I'm not going to be happy.

It's all situational. If he walks the first 2 guys in the 8th and is at 115 pitches I sure hope they would pull him.

Sure if he has a stressful 8th then yeah but you have to give him the opportunity to not have it go down that way first.

He is flat out at too many pitches already. Why throw him out there? How would he ever finish the 9th? 125+ pitches…idk, not worth it for a no hitter.

If he leaves Burnes in to throw 130 pitches, and his arm is shot, the rest of us aren't going to be happy. Gotta be smart, and wearing out your ace in a relatively meaningless September game isn't the way to do it.

It's a balancing act. I understand what you are saying but it's not a meaningless game right now for Corbin Burnes. I think Counsell has to both keep an eye on the bigger picture while also respecting the moment and the individual in that moment. Not an easy balance.

I don't care about completely arbitrary pitch counts. If he goes out and walks a couple guys and proves keeping him in endangers himself and the lead then go get him.

The Crew has not clinched the division yet, so this game is NOT meaningless.

At this point, Burnes is not scuffling. He's still going well.

Have someone warm up, but don't pull him unless he loses the no-no.

I would be more worried if Burnes had multiple stressful innings that had high pitch counts where he had to empty the tank earlier in the game....he's been on cruise control, and its very tough to strike so many guys out without having the pitch count he's at.

This isn't April when starters are still building up endurance - if there was ever a time to push the envelope a little its now.

This pitcher has one weird pre-pitch routine.

So glad he’s not on our team regardless of results. Don’t think I could handle this 60+ times a year.

I realize baseball players are people of superstitious habit, but some of the stuff they do on the mound and in the batters box seems contrived and unnecessary to the point of being silly. I get that some of it is "timing mechanism" and "gamesmanship", but here we are with 3 1/2 hour games while Blake Parker does.....whatever it is that he's doing before every pitch.

I feel bad for whatever Brewer reliever has to enter this game if it's still a no-no.

Ehh... I feel like we're in an era where combined no-no's are not super unique or rare to the point where there'd be a ton of unnecessary pressure to finish it.
