Surprised to see Lauer still in the game.

As tempting as it might be to send him out for the 7th....at 100 pitches it's probably time to make the switch.

Lauer reminds me of Tom Glavine in some ways. Not eye popping stuff but finds away to miss bats.

More like a better fastball Jamie Moyer.

I'm trying to figure out who they are going to make the switch to, though. Have to think Boxberger, Ashby and Cousins are off limits.

I can see that.

Thank You Mr. Lauer! Great stuff. Incredible transformation he has undergone this season. Just incredible.

Yes I wanted to complain about Burnes not starting tonight but Lauer and Houser have earned their spots. Impressed that the K’s have been going up for Lauer as well.

Strickland if he's around. Suter. Hader. Did Cousins pitch Wednesday? I would think he would be good if CC needed him.

This is surprising. I can't remember the last time Counsell has sent a guy back out there with 100+ pitches.

Why didn’t he send houser out last night

I was wondering the same thing. Might have tried to get too cute yesterday, and it burned them.

Based on his facial expressions he wished that he had.

It doesn't necessarily correlate with single-game pitch count, but interesting to note that Lauer is probably one of the few guys on the pitching staff who is nowhere near his career high in IP.

Any word on how Rowdy is doing?

I believe I heard tonight (?) CC saying he has a decent chance of joining the Big Club on their 6 game road trip upcoming?

Not sure it's the best move sending him out there with 100+pitches though...

Just so uncharacteristic.

Pull Houser, who was cruising after 6 with 81 pitches, let Lauer go, who is cruising, with 100 pitches.

Just weird decision making by CC.
