.500 and a NIT invite is probably the ceiling for this year.

You have an odd definition of "ceiling." That result would be higher than the floor for this team and considerably lower than the ceiling.

Badgers on a 43 - 16 run the last 18:23 of game time

I forgot that Buzz Lightyear was coach for Texas A&M

Wisconsin wins by 11. That is quite the turnaround after being down 16 in the first half. They are pretty darn quick on defense - gonna get a lot of steals this year. Too bad they don't have a nice big-bodied dude other than Vogt.

Yeah, they looked great outside of the first 10 minutes or so.

Houston next, which is a good barometer. That's a legit team. Davis makes a lot of difference.

Never in doubt :)

Maybe Davis is finally that star that the team has really been lacking the last few years. The Davison/Reuters/King class was a bit of a disappointment and Happ sort of faded due to no jumper and band FT’s. Under Ryan seemed like we had a long run of first team big ten players.

Big win, nice to be playing for a tourney title tomorrow, didn’t expect it but maybe it is the beginning of a surprisingly good team this year.

It's weird, but Saint Mary's might be the preferred matchup from a schedule standpoint. The WCC might get more bids than the Pac12.

Really been impressed with these last two games. Played great two and a half halves, then took Houston's best punch and held on.

That was an unexpected surprise. The Providence loss is now basically moot considering that Jonny D didn't play and is quite clearly the only reason the offense might be good. Beating Houston is going to go a looong way toward securing a tourney bid. They aren't going to have many more Ls on their resume.

Mostly though it makes me smile thinking that I am going to enjoy following the team all year. With that defense they have a chance to win going into every game.

Saint Mary’s is an extremely good defensive team. Nothing easy for the Badgers right now.

Carter Gilmore just looks like he doesn’t belong. Not sure why he’s getting minutes.

Saint Mary's always among the slowest teams in MCBB. Wahl had a great night, which is great to see.

This has been a GREAT start to the year. One Q1 win, one that will be close, and one that will probably end up Q2, but who knows if A&M can win a few in a good SEC.

I'll say this: the last three days looked like vintage, Bo Ryan Badgers. One legit scoring threat, strong guards who rebound and can iso in the post, and grind it out team defense. We'll see how they play in league, but am encouraging start with a lot of power conference competition coming over the next month.

This Badgers team, win or lose, is much more enjoyable to watch than last year's group of whiners. (minus Brad Davison of course)

You might want to take a long break from commenting on Badgers sports until you get to know their teams better.
