Anyone else think Suzy, Booger, and Adam did an especially awful job filling time in their segments of the broadcast?  Maybe they get a pass on the first segment when there wasn't much time to prepare, but the subsequent opportunities were just as bad -- if not worse -- with them just repeating the same heartfelt takes over and over.  I wanted to expect more from a pro like Suzy Kolber, especially.  She can't lead a compelling discussion with some interesting angles and thoughtful commentary?

No, not even a little.

There was no way they could ever prepare for being put in that situation.  The focus was on the "heartfelt takes" which it should have been.  I don't much care about the other incidents that happened 20+ years ago.

So from what I understand now, not only did this jackass not apologize, he had the nerve to blame everyone else for "misinterpreting" his tweet. Nothing was misinterpreted, Skip. You said what you said, which was basically "Although what just happened is terrifying, they have to keep playing because too much is at stake for playoff position." That is at best tone deaf and at worst, reprehensible. I don't blame Shannon not doing the show today because he probably wanted to punch a hole through him and who knows if he even wants to work with him again?

Scumbag Skip Bayless manages to hit an all time low.

I'm confused.  To me, it seems like he's saying how this game has all this meaning and that postponing it would seem to be impossible to accommodate, and yet all that is now irrelevant because of the injury.

Remember what Yoda said:

Yah, there are two ways to read that Bayless tweet. Either A) he tried to get too cute with the writing and ended up with a bit of a muddled mess or B) he intentionally wrote a muddled mess knowing it would create controversy while giving him an out.

Knowing both Skip’s shtick and lack of any real finesse both are possible, but neither is in any way anyone’s fault but his own.

I don't think it was necessarily the wrong thing to say, but it certainly wasn't the correct time.  I know the news cycle is important and, to use Cheesehead's phrase, his "shtick" is to respond right away.  Just wait... let it sink in... and then say what you want to say.

Gosh I really wish Elon would just hurry up and destroy Twitter already so the news doesn't have to be filled with "So and so tweeted this! Look how terrible of a person they are!"

As for the Tweet itself, whatever. Him and millions of people were thinking the same thing. And the vast majority of those people were also actually concerned for the health of the player too. I don't see why those two things have to be mutually exclusive.

Finally, it's Skip Bayless. Any of your brain space that you devote to anything that comes out of his brain is brain space you don't deserve.

We know that something else will come in to fill it's place.  Sort of like Vine and TikToc.

Your 2022 AFC South champion Jacksonville Jaguars!

One fluke play. Dang. I'm in a survivor pool and a Titans win would've knocked out about 7 others. It was looking good for most of the game.

Houston is so bad they can't even lose a game when they need to.

Looks like Chicago will get the #1 pick. Chicago needs so so many players I'd guess they'll trade out and get a boatload of picks to one of the many teams desperate for a QB.

Can't wait for the Bears to waste all those draft picks on busts.

They should draft a QB themselves.

I can’t decide if I want them to use another high draft pick on a QB with the possibility they actually find a good one or have them try to surround Fields with some better players.

I’m not worried about Fields as the long term answer for the Bears, so maybe have them try to get some players to surround him and miss out on an actual stud QB.

And the beauty of it is that there is no consensus franchise #1 QB, much less top 2-3 QBs, that don't have question marks that a team would want to trade up for.  I don't think that there's anyone who a team would give up a boatload of draft capital for to pick #1.  Arizona and the Rams already made a significant investment at QB and I don't know that any of the top 3 QBs (Young, Stroud, Levis) are better than what the Lions already have.  Houston, Seattle, and Indy can just sit there and see who falls to them, and if a team below those wants a QB they can trade up to the Lions' or Arizona's spot.

A bit of poetic justice for all the help the Sea Hags got from the Zebras.

Did you see where KJ Wright called out the NFL for rigging the scheduling to favor the Packers? A former Seahawk should probably sit out a conversation about the NFL helping out the Packers.

Looking forward to Dallas losing to the Bucs next week.

That's just a fun win win game.
