I don't know who else is listening to the radio, but the not even close to subtle shade Uecker just casually tossed out at Wrigley Field was hilarious.

can you paraphrase?

Watching Nashville Triple-A games as much as I do, I'm also all aboard the promote Luis Perdomo bandwagon. I find it extremely hard to validate hosting Milner over Perdomo - and, again, looking bast the obvious lefty slot in the bullpen. Just my two centavos as I work the lobby for our young men to get their opportunities.

Keller has really nasty stuff. Fortunately it won't be long before he's pitching for the Dodgers or somewhere in the AL East.

And winning cy youngs as opposed to sporting era's over six....

He's talking about players running into walls chasing fly balls/foul balls, and how walls all around baseball are padded now for player safety.  He then said "I guess all the stadiums have padded walls..... uhh.... except Wrigley Field, I guess", and when he said "Wrigley Field, I guess", his voice was dripping with sarcasm/disgust, and then kinda launched into a little bit about guys running into the brick wall, and once they hit the warning track at Wrigley "they know they're in trouble".

In his defense, I'm sure the inconsistent playing time isn't helping. Thinking he'll be the guy to go down when urias returns.

It’s the vicious circle. He hasn’t shown enough over the last two years to justify more ABs.

Even if he goes down and gets regular playing time he comes back and piles up the Ks.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

This might be the worst year of brewer game television ads I can remember.  I will actively go out of my way to never purchase a fizzy hard cider

Which one.. the one that's shown during every commercial break, or the other one that is shown during every commercial break?

The offense has really gone quiet after the 4 run second yesterday. 2 solo HRs and very few baserunners.

We'll see. Did like what i saw from him in the spring with the mechanical adjustments (i.e., shorter leg kick). But there's just no way this can keep going on at the big league level.

That viagra ad with the tenor aria in the background is pretty bad.  Of course this one might only be showing with MLB Extra Innings subscription...

Hiura has now struck out 181 times in his last 426 at bats dating back to the very end of the 2019 season. That's who he is, and I am completely convinced, will remain.

At least Counsell won’t have to face the critics for lifting a pitcher who hasn’t given up a hit.

Woodruff getting his usual run support today.

Woodruff has really had Reynolds tied up today.

Hayes will probably be his last hitter of the day one way or another.

Even last night when they scored 5 runs the team had only three hits. You really have to be wearing rose colored glasses to think this lineup is good enough with this cast of characters.

Hiura's career as a Milwaukee Brewer is essentially over. There's nothing more we can do for him. He's going to be traded, probably sooner rather than later.

But they can win, because they dont need the offence to carry the team like they did in '08 and '11.

Dude we get it. We all know the lineup needs to show more and as currently constituted, is probably not good enough to win a world series. But how productive is it repeating the same thing over and over again, which in your case is like a bajillion times.

They also brought up Keon Broxton breaking his wrist when he slammed into the Wrigley wall in 2016. The part I forgot about is Broxton smashed into the Wrigley wall making a catch again the following season [in the nearly identical spot], but avoided serious injury the second time around.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Yes they can make the playoffs just on pitching but can they win the World Series with this offense.

If the Ravens can win the Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer as quarterback, the Brewers can win the WS on the strength of their pitching.
