I’m old (61) …batting average will always matter to me ???

It's okay. I still appreciate a guy like Luis Arraez, too!

The weird thing right now is Counsell is hitting his two worst hitters leadoff and 3rd to ensure they get the most ab in a game. Can someone please help me understand this??

This season has been the most frustrated Ive been with Counsell's lineups.  McCutchen consistently 4th agaisnt righties and playing over Hiura against righties, Yelich 3rd bo natter what, and Brosseau produces against lefties, he should be in the lineup everytime over Huira against lefties.

They're playing like a team that is playing its 12th game in 11 days after a 10-game road trip and is missing four of its best players.

I’m not trying to mess with you. I’m just calling out things you say that I disagree with, which is what you do with regularity with many posters on this board.

100% agree.

I'm just pulling for Alex Hall to get in the game at this point.  He's more likely to get a hit than Yelich or McCutchen.

It's funny you say that when you made a post today that quite a few other people disagreed with. Like maybe it's not just me, but rather the quality of your posts.

Woodruff is on the DL and he has a better chance.

It's typical for our announcers to make the opposing pitcher out to be Cy Young when the bats are silent. But now we're to the point where Garcia throws a hanging breaking pitch, Taylor is fooled by it, and Schroeder refers to it as "nasty".?

Well, if it makes anyone feel better, I'm going to the game tomorrow, and they've managed to win the last 6 games I've attended. Oh, and the Cubs are beating the Cardinals 5-3 in the bottom of the 8th!

Think the injuries have finally caught up to this team , sapping the energy they had. Really miss Adames  and his overall enthusiasm he brought !

And Renfroe might have been the hottest hitter in the lineup when he went down
