Not as bad last night as the IGT seemed to think.

Umpiring is rarely as bad as IGTs believe because if umpiring was actually that bad, the umpire wouldn't be in MLB (yes, this even applies to Angel Hernandez... well, okay maybe not him).

But still, a .75 run swing in a one-run game is not great. Sometimes, only missing a few calls can be really detrimental to a team if you miss the wrong calls.

Woody and Ashby come back soon, please. Even if we lose, we'll probably only be 0.5 game out of a Wild Card spot and 2 games out of the division lead. As pleasant of a surprise Alexander has been thus far, you're not going to win games with him or Chi Chi in your rotation. Also, hardest part of the schedule is behind us.

The hardest part of the schedule is not behind us yet. We still have all the good AL East teams left as well as almost all our games against LA and SF.

Only 23 games left against Pittsburgh (13) and Cincinnati (10) too. Brewers are 13-2 against those two teams and 26-31 against everyone else.

IMO Cardinals are just a better team. Their pitching may not be as good but overall they’re just better.

The lineup is so much better and with the injuries to the Brewers pitching they are currently as good if not better. The cardinals are also welite defensively and we look lost.

Yes it is, when you consider the whole three 10 game road trip thing and how many more road games we've played than home games. Padres, Phillies, Braves, all done, too. After Wednesday, things lighten up significantly...

Somebody give a quick account of the Cards' runs.  I was distracted by this "job" thing I do during the day.

NM"  I saw throwing error by Alexander, PLus that &*$#@!  Goldschmidt

I don't know how anyone can think this team is good right now. Hopefully the pitching will improve once Woodruff and Ashby come back but the offense is not going to get meaningfully better without some trades.

Brewers have better pitching than the Cardinals (when healthy). Our problem is Woodruff and Peralta both being out. That's equivalent to Arenado and Edman being out for the Cards on the hitting side of things.

You've left out the AL East teams and LA and SF. It would be nice to play Cincy and Pittsburgh every game but the schedule doesn't quite work that way.
