Well, the Twins managed to play like garbage and pull out a win, let's see the Brewers do the same.

Step one: stop playing like garbage, please.

I have the Twins at 5-1 to win the division.

Add-on runs please. It is really crazy how even these teams have been. Am I just terrified of the Cards, or does it seem like the Brewers have been outplayed in the 12 games so far and are lucky to be 5-6?

People were asking why Adames was sitting yesterday....

He's one of our best, obviously, but he does have a knack for hitting into "clutch" DPs. ?

I was referring to the ankle. He was gimpy coming out of the box, which is how that weak grounder turned into a DP.

Ahh.  I didn't see that on the radio.

Williams was nasty and efficient there. What an awesome inning.

The one upside to injuries to starters is that maybe, just maybe, some of the bullpen pieces have shown big-time promise and effectiveness. The pitching is very deep and will hopefully be fully healthy come October.

One guy who's surprised me lately is Kelley. Was nasty last night and hasn't been scored upon in his last 5 appearances or so. Maybe he doesn't suck?

McCutchen's OPS is 666. Do with that info what you will.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

I definitely groaned and questioned CC at the ballpark yesterday when I saw Kelley warming up for the meat of the order, and then he went ahead and dominated for 2 innings. Impressive stuff.

Time to finally push across some runs against the Cardinal bullpen which has completely shut down the Brewers in this series.

Not a good start from Taylor with the bases loaded.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle. Just make some contact!  If we're gonna have a DP it should at least come with no outs so a run will score. (I know this is a batter late.)

Way to slide.
