Ashby needs to get better at holding runners…….they seem to get huge jumps on him on a regular basis.

Severino with no chance on that last one.

Our hitters could stand to learn a lot from the Rockies' hitters mentality...

Do you mean not trying to hit the ball as hard as possible all the time?

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Not sure what the stats show, but to my eyes … we make average MLB lefty pitchers look like hall-of-famers

And in my opinion … Yelich needs to either sit or move way down in the order against lefties

Another game that is hard to watch offensively

I want the trade deadline to come & go … tired of waiting to see what we might do to address our ineptness against lefty starters

If they get to the postseason its going to be a quick exit if they face a team with two lefty starters, or a team with lefties in the pen that can go multiple innings.

Why I'm hoping we get Josh Bell. Sounds like we're right in the thick of things there.

It's funny cause we have quite a few guys who crush lefties. (Renfroe, Brosseau, McCutchen, Urias, Severino). So frustrating.

No crushing tonight

Nope. Freeland isn't horrible especially pitching half his games at Coors. But I was hoping for more....

Ashby looks good.  Giving up 2 runs is a nice outing IMO.  I wasn't expecting a win here.  Taking 3 of 4 in this series is nothing to sneeze at.  I'll take series wins like this all day long.

And yet they dont.  This happens over and over again when they face a lefty.  Feels like you could have a tee at home plate and if someone set the ball on the tee using his left hand, he'd have six shutout innings.

Not horrible - but certainly average … which was my point

Ashby has pitched well enough to win - 7 strong with a ton of K’s

Here’s hoping we rally late

Hitting with RISP hasn’t been a problem for the Brewers tonight.
