Do we HAVE TO cheer for StL to beat the Padres?

We're 5 games (including tie-breaker) behind the Padres.  I think the realistic chance is to pass the Phillies.

So, No you don't.

That AB to Reynolds is perfect example of the Brewers pitching philosophy.  Here's a guy who's 32, with a smattering of Major league experience, a lifetime wRC+ of 74 and an iso of 0.101 and Woodruff is throwing balls a foot off the plate to see if he'll chase, while the 2 strikes he swung at he didn't even make contact.  Just throw STRIKES.  He won't even hit the ball!!!

Treating every hitter like they are Babe Ruth is the reason most of the starters can't get past the 5th inning because they've reached their pitch limit AND it's boring as ****. Next, 3 Balls to Siani then Woodruff has to start throwing strikes because he doesn't want to walk a useless hitter.  You would think that our pitchers all have crap stuff and can't get "batters" (loosely with the lineup the Reds trot out there) out unless they chase balls out of the strike zone. Sheeesh.

Look, we all get what you're referring to, but in this case, I think you're making big a deal out of nothing.

And I'm pretty sure he has posted "Let's Go Corbin", or something along those lines in the past.

It probably would have been something like:

Let’s go Corbin!

I was talking to my kin

And we said it would be a sin

If the Brewers didn’t win

Now I’m going to drink gin.

Realistic yes but the Padres are playing a good Braves team with lots to play for. I believe the Brewers pick up at least two games on the Padres over these 4 games.

It's almost against my religion...

Yeah I tried for about 2 seconds on Tuesday when they were on TV and realized there's just no way I can do it.  I was worried my body would be revolt and I'd be getting another look at my lunch. It would be like trying to root for ohio state or michigan.

A 347 foot home run? Wow.

Woodruff is clearly our ace right now. 11 of 15 outs for strikeouts.

4-0 seems more secure against these guys that against the Mets.

Our bullpen says “Oh? Hold our beer”. ?

Red Sox are doing what I expected other teams to start doing a while ago, just waking Judge.
