Did anyone really believe we were going to score there? This lineup, 1 through 9, is an amazingly consistent slog of mediocrity. Even when we get a few on base, no matter who it is, there are always mediocre hitters to follow who have an excellent chance of killing the rally, and they usually do.

When was that

First game against the Marlins.  Phillies had lost that afternoon.  Adames was damn lucky he got a few other pitches to look at in that at bat because that check swing was clearly a swing.

I hope the Brewers win the game.

It IS that simple!

You know things are not great when you need help from a last-place, 100-loss team.

Just win this game.

I’m at the point now that I do t care what inning it is.  If our catchers come up in a big spot with a rally going.   Pinch hit for them.   They are losing games for us.  Period

they pinch hit with another catcher.

This team's situational hitting absolutely sucks.

last time I checked (a week or so ago), their average with RISP was better than their overall average.

Not exactly a high bar.

These little side commercials, between pitches with the game still showing on the left, and the advertisement on the right of the screen are ridiculous.

We are just bombarded with constant advertisements from the stadium signage to now, even between pitches.  Then, between innings here comes the same 3 or 4 commercials that we have seen hundreds, if not thousands of times this season.  I can't stand the miller light ace of base commercial, or the blue moon blondie commercial.  There are 2 songs that I never care to hear again in the off season.

At least the Vizzy Queen and her/his Court commercial has been out of the rotation for the second half of the season, I thought that one was going to kill me.

I really hate selling out for the platoon advantage. You've got a guy with a ten ERA, and you burn two pinch-hitters so the other manager can bring in a better guy.

I want to hit against Nardi. Maybe Mattingly pulls the trigger on a change anyway, but don't hand it to him on a platter.

No, it really doesn't.

obviously there is nothing about situational hitting that's the problem; the problem is that overall they don't hit.
