Any news on the Eric Brown Jr. injury front?

Suffered a non-displaced hairline fracture on his left scapula on July 1st.  He was expected to miss about 8 weeks with the injury.

Assuming a healthy recovery, probably a lock to play in the Arizona Fall League I imagine?

I believe he’s already been told, pending his health, that he’ll likely be participating.

  • LHP Brian Fitzpatrick reinstated from 60-day injured list and activated on Carolina's roster (had been rehabbing from Tommy John in Maryvale)
  • INF Jesus Parra released from the Carolina roster (Parra signed on his 16th birthday in August 2018 for $210,000. This season was his first with a full-season affiliate, .646 OPS in 164 plate appearances with the Mudcats, primarily playing first base and at DH after rookie-level work mainly at third base).

With Fitzpatrick coming off the 60-day list, another player had to come off the organizational roster in order to not be above the 180-player stateside limit.

Well, that's interesting. McKendry really impressed versus the Sounds in Mid-May of the first half - 6 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 8 K. That outing helped him win International League Pitcher of the Week honors. On the season, for Durham, he's been pretty dang good. Favorable strikeout profile with 95 K in 96 1/3 IP. The Sounds will now have two of the top three strikeout leaders in the International League.

I'll miss those Alex Jackson mega-blasts into the parking garages behind <insert Triple-A ballpark here>.

ARob, you usually know a lot about what’s going on down at complex. Do you know if any other draft picks will be debuting soon. Seems weird how only 2 have got start on the season so far.

Unfortunately, I don’t have much to share at this point, but I’ll see if I can find some of that info for those interested.

I think it's fair to say I expected this move for Blalock but did not have the C Jesus Garcia to Triple-A in my cards. I am wondering if this is akin to the LHP Pablo Garabitos 'cup of coffee' last season? Hard to tell. None the less, good for him!

Surprised me with the Alex Jackson deal... I'd have thought Quero would be in Nashville. His bat's clearly ready for the promotion, and IMO, it isn't even a close call.

It's maybe a promotion in the meantime til Queros fit again
