It's the coaching. They're making him too robotic.

Well, a robot would be able to get to his 2nd read and see that he's wide open, so...I'm sure they'd love that.

Also, really funny how DJ Moore went from arguably a top 5 WRer who just didn't have a great QB to a mediocre WRer with Fields. The FEW throws Fields has made that have been great throws bounce off his hands like he's 2015 Davante Adams!

The Chiefs just put in Blaine Gabbert, and it's still the third quarter.

I went for a 30-minute walk at 5:15pm.  I had a feeling something was up when I saw a guy in a Mahomes jersey walking down the street before 5:45.

The cowboys are a bad team.  Here's my work.

The giants lost a game 40-0.

The giants narrowly beat the cardinals after they choked a big lead.

The cowboys lose to the cardinals by 12.

End dissertation.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Miami just scored again

Sean Peyton is without a doubt the most overrated coach in the NFL. Everybody rags on McCarthy but look at Peyton's resume with New Orleans and it practically mirrors McCarthy's in Green Bay. Remember, he had a first ballot Hall Of Fame quarterback too.

I do feel a tiny bit bad for Sean. If you remember at this time last year the reports were that he wanted the Chargers job assuming that Staley would be fired, which he probably should have been. There were no good coach openings this offseason. He should have waited another year instead he took the money and went to a place that everyone knew was a raging dumpster fire that won't be extinguished until Wilson is gone.

I could be wrong but I feel like Paul Allen was just raving about this guy in the off-season, like the Vikings just signed the prime of Reggie White.

Paul Allen raves about every viking player and coach as the season approaches publicly...but privately he must spend equally enough time assembling his list of endless excuses to use when his predictions and hot takes completely fall apart.

Give him credit though, for playing the part as a homer hack to the fullest in terms of football for the vikings...he actually also does a great job calling horse races at Canterbury park

I have never felt sad for him.  Boo Hoo... he got millions for being a world class jerk who coaches FB.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Other than the bountygate thing what has Payton done to garner so much hate?

Isn't that enough?  I'm sure there is more, but I have little respect for people that intentionally hurt others or put them in harm's way.  Similar to the Cardinals (and others, but they seemed to be the last team to hold on to it) throwing at players for silly things like hitting HRs against them.

I remember some infidelity the year or so before bountygate where local support for him soured.  He was allegedly cheating on his wife with a local NBA cheerleader.  His wife took the kids and moved to Dallas, they divorced soon after as I recall.

I thought that was a little(lot) of posturing by the NFL. It was also Gregg Williams, but that was pretty common place in the NFL. You've heard LT say he wasn't just coming to hit you, "He was coming to hurt you."

And again, I don't know that Payton was more involved than he was the HC and his DC did something stupid.

It feels a lot worse now because...well, Will Smith made a movie among other things, but at the time, I don't think the Saints were really that different from other defenses. They did beat the living hell out of Favre though. Probably why instead of tucking it and trying to run to gain 5 more yards he threw the ball back over the middle of the field late(just as you're always taught as a QB)!

I'm definitely not shedding any tears for Sean Payton though.

FYI, I never saw the Will Smith movie.  I do remember watching NO hitting Favre and it wasn't just normal shots... a lot of cheap shots, low, hitting  vulnerable spots... not just trying to strip to sack him.  Play hard, hit hard... sure.  But that isn't what they were doing.   The buck stops here.  Both knew what was going on. I doubt Williams paid it out of his pockets.

I can't believe Broncos fans were duped into thinking that Sean Payton was going to just stroll into Denver and everything would be fine. Nothing about his track record suggested he was any more brilliant than another Mike McCarthy.

The only difference between this year's Broncos and last year's is now they needed to hire a new DC and lost their continuity on defense.

The Broncos are screwed. The only thing positive they can do is suck enough to get Caleb Williams, or at least Drake Maye.

I don't hate him. He's just overrated as a head coach and it makes me sick to hear all the praise heaped upon him like he's the second coming of Bill Walsh.

Obviously I wasn't suggesting your own opinion was influenced by the Will Smith movie, just that the NFL as a whole was. That it was common place to try and knock the QB out. I don't think that was just a Saints thing. I think it was just the reality of the NFL until they actually starting doing more about concussions.

And I don't actually recall any egregious shots vs Favre. They hit him when they could...I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, I'm just saying I don't know that Payton was even really aware OR...again, that it was much different from how any other team played.

The NFL would play highlights of Ray Lewis, accused of Murder giving a speech talking about how he's not just trying to hurt you, he's trying to "take your soul."

If you want to argue that the NFL used "Bountygate" as an excuse to send a message to the league as a whole and it was a good thing for that, I'm all on board. But to act like the Saints were these lone wolves and worse than anyone else...I don't buy it and I don't think most NFL players did either.

Whitworth certainly didn't.

He's got a well-earned reputation as a pompous arse who thinks his excrement doesn't stink, amplified by the fact he was the "it" coordinator in two huge NFC East markets (NY Giants and Cowboys)...his main claim to fame before landing a head coaching gig with the Saints was being a huge advocate of Tony Romo, whom he probably viewed as a younger version of himself (small school QB who probably just needed a legit NFL shot to become a star).

He's been around the NFL a looong time and is a well-regarded offensive mind.  But personally I don't see too many beat writers or NFL insiders waxing poetic about how great a guy he is - frankly because of the Bill Parcels-esque demeanor he carries himself with since that was one of his mentors and tickets into the league.  Sometimes you outlive your reputation during a career and you wind up realizing you're a has-been, and I think that could easily be where Payton finds himself in terms of being an offensive innovator.
