Free Season of MLB.TV for T-Mobile customers

No, I'm not getting any compensation for this.  Just a good deal that I don't want you to miss.

Today (and today only) T-Mobile customers can get a free season of MLB.TV.  Go to your T-Mobile Tuesdays App to claim it.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

That is usually the case with T-Mobile Tuesdays but they are giving a full week for this one, need to claim by 4/4, 4:59am ET. I didn't wait but if you see this tomorrow you still have time.

Thanks for clarifying. I just grabbed it (and have until April 4th to redeem it).  But, like normal TMobile Tuesdays, I assumed you needed to grab it today.  Either way I didn't look closely at it. 😉

Might want to update the subject line to specify it's for T-Mobile customers or else a lot of people are going to see this and be disappointed.

This is honestly the main reason I still have T-Mobile. MLB.tv rules

Same. It's like getting a free month of phone service because I'm buying MLB.tv anyway.

Or it's better than a free month of service because my wife's firm pays our phone bill. :classic_cool:

Speaking of MLB.tv, anyone else notice anything different (and very annoying) yesterday?  Admittedly, I'm also hoping someone more savvy than myself has figured out a work around for what I'm about to talk about.  Here goes...

I always found it annoying for non-live game streaming, that it still would say "commercial break in progress" between half-innings instead of it just going to the next half-inning, but whatever.  At least you could click on the next half inning and go right to it.  Now, you're stuck with commercials from MLB.tv and cannot skip them.  At least that was the case yesterday. Plus the commercials seemed to be higher res than the game or something, because they would lag to buffer on my less than ideal internet I get, so the commercial breaks were longer.  It actually took longer to watch the game last night than it would have live on cable.  So I'm not a fan of that this year, not whatsoever.

I didn't have a chance to watch any non-live games but will take a look. One thing I did find annoying on my phone are the video highlights are different than year's past. It just gives generic play by play description kind of like when watching a game live. i.e. Jace Peterson flies out to RF Hunter Renfroe.

Looking into it more, I'm wondering if the Ghostery extension I run used to block the ads on mlb.tv for me so I could skip ahead, and now it no longer is able to do that.  I will try to experiment some more.

Does anyone know of a way to just stream MLB Network, preferably on  a roku?   I use YTTV and its gone this year. So don't really have an easy way to watch anything MLB since all ESPN talks about is the NFL and most of their day is just having guys yell at each other.  Even looking at MLB TV I don't think that's part of it from what I can tell, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Legally no.  The only way to stream MLB Network is through a login through one of the cable/satellite providers.

Not a solution right now but I recommend switching from YTTV to Fubo, which carries both MLBN and Bally.

I got the free season. It works on my phone but not my iPad. Is it only going to work since it probably needs to be connected to the phone number.

No, it's linked to your MLB account. I'm not sure why it's not working on your iPad but I'm pretty sure I've used my iPad this season (and absolutely used it in previous seasons) and never had an issue.

I haven't checked yet for baseball. But I have seen live streams for Nascar races on twitch hidden within sports and Nascar Heat streams. Maybe you can lock in to a Brewer game or another game somewhere inside a potential baseball game stream.

Has anyone been able to find minor league archived games within the MLB.TV app? Nice that live minor league action is included with MLB.TV now, but if the only way to pull up an archived game is an MiLB.TV subscription, it defeats the purpose of most of our needs (reviewing injury exits, etc.).

I think a subscription to MiLB.TV is needed to watch archived games.  The only way to watch archived games is through a browser at: https://www.milb.com/live-stream-games/2023/04/09/all/all/brewers or through the first pitch app.  I believe both require a separate subscription if you want to watch archived minor league games.
