Good thing Counsell didn’t agree with anyone who wanted Caratini catching with Contreras as DH and Tellez on the bench.

I don't think that I've seen Owen Miller square up a ball all season.

He had a line drive single to center tonight I think……

That’s a really nice win. Opportunity to salvage a rough home stand the next two games. Where would we be without Miley. Given how the injury bug has once again struck our rotation, that might turn out to be one of the best FA signings of the Stearns/Arnold era.

Willy, slow down a bit there my man, you had plenty of time.

Great win. I think this Angels team is going to be very pesky this season and hang around in WC contention for most of the season.

That’d be good honestly. Last thing we want is an NL team trading for Ohtani, especially the Cardinals.

Did someone say they wanted that line-up tonight?  If so, I don't see it.

I miss writing Harder save in my scorebook, but I just realized that I am just as happy to write Williams save.

I did. Mainly because Rowdy came into the game with only one hit against LHP. Oh well good on CC

It’s funny how a team that has trout and ohtani is considered a plucky underdogs for the playoffs.

Ohtani going to the Cardinals would be great IMO, as they’d blow all the prospect capital they have and then he would leave. I think there’s a near-zero chance Ohtani signs with anyone other than a coastal team. Maybe the Cubs, but the Ricketts won’t pay him so that’s a moot point.

And with our luck it would be an Arenado like deal.

Because they hit the jackpot twice and are wildly incompetent otherwise… until this year. They finally addressed some of the issues that caused them to fail for basically a decade straight.

Would be awesome to get a Cy Burnes performance tomorrow so we can head into Sunday with the series already won with Rea on the mound.
