Turang continues to underwhelm with the bat. Some poor swing decisions.

I was yelling at the tv for a drag bunt attempt from Turang.  Was afraid that might be the best opportunity for him to drive in the run.

I didn’t say anyone did say it.

Everyone knows Yelich has a weak arm, but bringing it up on an irrelevant play in an irrelevant part of the game seems odd.

I find it odd that you would call out a comment, in the game thread, about something that happened in the game.  Did I lie?  Was it an opinion you didn't agree with?  How was it irrelevant?  The dude went from 1st to third, on a routine single that was in front of Yelich, who plays freaking left field.  The reason he went to third base was because he knew damn well that the guy playing left field has a noodle arm, which is the only reason he went to third.

This happened in the game, I commented on it in the game thread, and you chose to make a comment about it not being in the top 100 problems, which I found to be irrelevant in itself.

Ok then, carry on.

You won’t often see 3 more pitiful ABs to squander a chance to get back in the game.

Couldn't even get the ball out of the infield...That's probably the game right there.

Lots of game left...

True. It's just that scoring opportunities don't get much clearer than that inning, particularly for this offense.

I have always hated the fact that Brewers games vs the Cubs at Miller P..., er umm Am Fam, always sound like a home game for the Cubs when they do something good.

They may come back but not scoring there is inexcusable. down in the game.

I mean, Ross went to a mediocre bullpen in the fourth inning, and the Cubs have lost their DH. Long way to go. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes 8 or 9 to win this game.

I have no doubt that the Cubs will put more runs on the board but you have far more faith in this lineup than I do and a few good games against the Pirates isn't going to fool me.  Until the offense proves to be consistent, they have earned the pessimism.

Fulmer's throwing pitches that are nowhere near the zone and the first thing Adames does is swing at a pitch up and in....

Which is the problem.  They can't string together enough quality at bats to be a threat for more than an inning or so a game.

I probably would have PH Tellez there just to force Ross' hand and bring in Kay. Concede the lefty-lefty to make them burn another reliever. Miller moves to third, Tellez at first. Take your shot with a guy who's got the better chance to tie the game.

The Cubs don’t really have a mediocre bullpen.

Not sure if the Brewers can score 3 more runs unless they can draw 6 walks in an inning.

The Cubs do, in fact, have a mediocre bullpen...

Give Julio credit. Got dinked and dunked a little in the second, but getting through six is nice.

Huge with where our pitching situation is at. Too bad the 3rd inning happened, too.

Against this offense, it's probably a very good bullpen.

Turang's bat is going to be a problem until he becomes more patient, makes more contact, and/or decides to hit the ball harder.

I think he's gone a bit too extreme with his adjustments from last year in AAA.
